Official description of the call

Extract from the Agreement of the Executive Council of the Council of Mallorca, dated May 24, 2023, by which the call for subsidies for the promotion of small commerce and the product of Mallorca is approved 2023 BDNS (Identif.): 699468 In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general subsidies, publishes the extract of the call, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhafp.gob.es/bdnstrans/index). First. Beneficiaries The following institutions and entities may apply for subsidies within the framework of this call: Line 1 (minimum): Associations, foundations and other non-profit entities with an insular/local scope of action, public law corporations whose purpose is the promotion and defense of the general interests of commerce and industry with an insular scope of action, associations, federations and confederations of small and medium commerce business associations with an insular scope of action and non-profit cooperatives, in accordance with the first additional provision of Law 27/1999 on cooperatives, island-wide, fishermen's guilds. Line 2: Town councils of the island of Mallorca and smaller local entities. Line 3 (minimum): Microenterprises, for-profit cooperatives and agricultural processing companies. Second. Purpose The purpose of this call is to promote public and private initiative actions and projects of public interest for the promotion of small businesses and local products from Mallorca. The purpose is to promote the carrying out of activities aimed at activating the local business fabric, as well as the execution of coherent and compatible projects with sustainable economy models that encourage the local productive sectors of Mallorca and promote actions to boost trade and local products, local business and traditional trade and, in general, the so-called short-circuit product and everything that surrounds it. The local product considered as the good produced, manufactured or transformed in Mallorca and that is associated with the way of being and doing of our island, small and traditional commerce, should be the purpose of promoting this call, in order to encourage growth as a local economy and diversify the business sectors of the island around island production and create an image of its own product and strengthen it within the island market. Third. Regulatory bases General subsidy ordinance of the Island Council of Mallorca (BOIB no. 21, of February 18, 2017 and BOIB no. 96, of August 4, 2018). Quart. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications is 30 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB).
