From the Mayor's Office by which it is agreed to approve the bases that must govern the call for the Literary Contest on lyrics by Fandangos de Lucena “Antonio Rivas” Award

Official description of the call

1º) As many people as they wish may participate in this Contest, regardless of their age, sex, or nationality, excluding the winner of the previous edition. 2nd) Each contestant may submit a maximum of six lyrics with a free theme that fits Lucena's fandangos. 3º) The works with which you wish to participate must be typed and in the Spanish language, accepting the transcription of Andalusian phonetics and must comply with the following characteristics: - They must be original and unpublished, and have not been awarded in any other contest. The contestant assumes all responsibilities derived from this fact, as well as the accreditation of these circumstances. - Works that do not comply with the provisions of the rules in their presentation will be disqualified. 4º) The application for participation will preferably be submitted through a general instance in the Entry Registry of the Electronic Headquarters of the Lucena City Council: (https://www.aytolucena.es/lucena/tramites). The application will indicate the MODALITY (“Antonio Rivas” Award or “Paco de Lucena-Creative City of Music” Special Award) to which it is submitted and a file must be attached that will contain the following documents in pdf: –Document No. 1: Which will contain the work or works, in which the chosen motto will be stated. –Document 2: Name and surname, age, address, as well as contact telephone number. - Document No. 3: Responsible declaration of not being subject to any of the prohibitions to obtain the status of beneficiary of subsidies, in accordance with the provisions of article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, as well as that it does not receive aid for the same purpose and that it is up to date in compliance with its tax obligations, vis-à-vis Social Security and the Municipal Treasury; all this without prejudice to the ex officio verifications that the City Council may carry out, which are authorized with the presentation of the application. In the event that the necessary technical means are not available to submit the application through electronic means, the documentation may be submitted in any of the places provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. Likewise, they may be physically presented at the registry of the Lucena City Council or through ordinary mail. When you do not opt for submission by electronic means, along with the application, an envelope will be presented with document No. 1 (work for which the competition is being competed in seven copies) indicating which modality you are participating in and another envelope containing documents No. 2 and 3 (enclosing document with the personal data and the Responsible Declarations referred to above). For any questions regarding registration in this competition, you can contact us by email at the following address. juanmanuel.lara@aytolucena.es 5º) The deadline for admission of works will begin the day following the publication of these rules in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, through the National Subsidies Database and on the Edict Board of the City Council, remaining open until October 16, 2023. 6º) The following prizes are established: “Antonio Rivas” Prize for lyrics €300 Lucena fandangos and Lucena candle. Special prize “Paco de Lucena-Creative City of Music” of €150 and a Lucena candle, for the best lyrics related to the figure of the Lucienne guitarist “Paco de Lucena”. 7º) The jury will be made up of people knowledgeable about literature, flamenco poetry and Andalusian culture, and will be appointed by the Organizing Committee. The jury's deliberations will be secret and its decision final. Once the winning work has been determined, the tenders will be opened. 8º) The ruling will be announced to the interested person and the media before the Final of the XIII Lucena National Fandango Contest. Minutes must be drawn up of everything that has been done, which will be sent to the Local Government Board to adopt a Resolution in this regard, publishing it.
