Awards for innovation and good practices in Social Services from the “Valencian Public System of Social Services” Chair

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: Participating entities that meet the following requirements may obtain the status of beneficiaries and apply for this award: · Be a local Public Administration, alone or grouped, whose scope of action is the province of Alicante or a social initiative entity of the Valencian Public System of Social Services, when the innovation or good practice has the province of Alicante as its scope of action. · Have developed or are in the process of implementing innovative actions and initiatives that represent models of good practices, within the framework of the Valencian Public System of Social Services. · The innovation or good practice presented must be original and must not have been previously published. · Each entity may submit a maximum of one participation request. · Not having obtained other awards or aid for the same innovation or good practice. Second. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to promote study activities, promote knowledge and disseminate topics related to the Valencian Public System of Social Services. The Chair aims to promote activities that contribute to the generation of knowledge, innovation and the improvement of the Valencian Public System of Social Services, and especially in aspects related to the promotion of the universality of the Valencian Public System of Social Services and the improvement of its quality. In order to meet its objectives, the Chair will develop, among its dissemination and knowledge transfer activities, organizational actions and calls for competitions and awards related to the purpose of the Chair. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases and call are published jointly in the Official Gazette of the University of Alicante on September 6, 2023, at the following URL: https://www.boua.ua.es/Agreements/DescargarAtrabajo/41722 Cuarto. Amount: The amount of aid allocated to this call is a maximum of 2,000 euros. A maximum number of two prizes with financial prizes and two prizes with special mention will be awarded. The financial award for each prize is distributed as follows: Modality A. Local administrations 1. First prize with a financial award of €1,000. 2. Second prize, consisting of a special mention, without financial prize. Modality B. Entities of the social initiative 1. First prize with a financial award of 1,000€. 2. Second prize, consisting of a special mention, without financial prize. Fifth. Application submission period: The application period begins the day after its publication in the DOGV and ends on September 29, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. The call will be published in BOUA for information purposes. Sixth. Other data: Award criteria: Innovative actions and initiatives developed by local Public Administrations or by social initiative entities of the Valencian Public System of Social Services in the province of Alicante, which represent models of innovation and good practices, within the framework of the prevention of social exclusion, the protection of people and their families, personal autonomy and the promotion of inclusion, will be eligible for awards. Works will be selected whose content meets at least one of the following criteria: · Design and implementation of a plan, program, project, actions, initiatives or innovative services in the Public System of Social Services: Newly created programs, or identifiable improvements on a pre-existing one. · Organization optimization and process improvement. · Creation and implementation of networks and collaborative work projects with the participation of diverse actors. · Creation of computer applications or information systems that streamline management processes and generate social intervention instruments. · Application of research linked to the field of social services, aimed at improving the functioning of care, intervention, coordination and management processes, improving social inclusion and personal autonomy, oriented towards social transformation.
