Resolution of December 1, 2023 of the Presidency of the State Research Agency, approving the 2023 call for Ramón y Cajal aid.

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiary entities. The following entities may be beneficiaries of Ramón y Cajal aid: 1. In the case of aid for the general shift and the shift for people with disabilities, public research organizations, public universities and their university institutes, private universities, public and private non-profit health entities and institutions, accredited health research institutes, Technology Centers and Technological Innovation Support Centers, and other R&D&I centers, public and private non-profit, in accordance with the provisions of article 5.2 of the call. 2. In the case of aid for the shift relating to research personnel in public agricultural and food research centers, among the entities indicated above, only the public agricultural or food research centers dependent on the Autonomous Communities integrated into the INIA (CSIC)-CCAA system, and the State Agency Higher Council for Scientific Research, through the National Center National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology, in accordance with the provisions of article 5.3 of the call. Second. Object. The purpose of the aid is to promote the incorporation into research organizations of research personnel, both Spanish and foreign, with an outstanding career in order for them to acquire the skills and abilities that allow them to obtain a stable position in a research organization of the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation, specifically encouraging the incorporation of researchers who have been developing their professional activity abroad for a certain period. Third. Regulatory bases. Order CIN/1025/2022, of October 27, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of public aid corresponding to various programs and subprograms of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, whose management corresponds to the State Research Agency. Room. Amount. The maximum amount intended to finance this call amounts to 129,989,200.00 euros, which will be allocated to budgetary applications equivalent, in the years 2025 and following, to the current 28,303,463B,750 of the General State Budgets, in accordance with budgetary availability. Fifth. Form and deadline for submitting applications. Applications for participation will be submitted by the entities and candidates, respectively, in accordance with the procedure described in article 12 of the call. The completion and electronic submission of the application must be carried out through the electronic means enabled for this purpose at the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Innovation. The deadline for submitting applications for participation, both for entities and candidates, will be from January 11 to February 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). Sixth. Application evaluation criteria. The applications of the candidates will be evaluated according to the criterion of the candidate's scientific-technical career and its following sub-criteria: a) Scientific-technical contributions of the candidate. b) Mobility and internationalization. c) Degree of independence and leadership. The description of the criterion and its subcriteria, as well as its assessment, are determined in Annex I of the call.
