Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: All groups that wish to do so, within the territorial scope of Spain, provided that their members have a date of birth prior to December 31, 2007, complying with the conditions detailed in the fourth point of this call. Second. Purpose: With the purpose of promoting, preserving, promoting and praising the traditional Carnival Festivals, the Official Murgas Competition of the aforementioned festivals is called for the year 2024, under a competitive competition regime. Third. Regulatory bases: General Subsidies Ordinance of the Hon. Badajoz City Council, published in the BOP, No. 21 dated February 2, 2009, Resolution of the Local Government Board, dated December 5, 2023. Fourth. Amount: The competition will be endowed with €18,200.00, divided into the following prizes: 1st.- Diploma and Trophy............................................... €5,000.00 2nd.- Diploma and Trophy.................................................. €3,500.00 3rd.- Diploma and Trophy.................................................. €3,000.00 4th.- Diploma.................................................. €2,000.00 5th.- Diploma ...................................................... €1,700.00 6th.- Diploma .................................................... €1,400.00 7th.- Diploma .................................................... €1,000.00 8th.- Diploma ............................................................ €600.00 The prizes will be subject to current tax legislation, with the established legal withholdings being made on said amounts. Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications: From the day following its publication in the B.O.P. and will end fifteen business days after it.
