Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of art. 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the Call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/es/index) PARTICIPANTS: All amateur youth theater groups that are not professional and not obtain economic benefits from their activity. At least two groups from the City of Fuenlabrada or with a majority of members who live in the city will be selected. Participating theater groups must be legally constituted or belong to an institution legally constituted within the Community of Madrid. They can come from educational centers, universities, associations, groups and other groups linked to theatrical activity. All interpreters must have been born between 12/31/1988 and 01/01/2011. In the event of the participation of people over 35 years of age, the number must not exceed 10% of the cast, nor must they play any leading role. For the purposes of the age of the members of the cast, the age they have reached on the start date of the application submission period will be taken into account. COMPETITION: Each group will submit a single work to the competition, the duration of which is advisable to be between 60 and 120 minutes, with duration being another criterion in the evaluation by the organization. The theme will be free, respecting human rights. Works that do not meet this requirement will not be admitted, and the organizers reserve the right to exclude participating groups that do not meet these conditions. PRIZES: A selection of six works will be made, plus two reserves, among all those registered. To determine the order of the awards, the six selected works will be performed between April 5 and 14 at the Josep Carreras Theater in Fuenlabrada. The jury will award the PRIZES established for this Contest, consisting of: ¿ 1st Prize ¿YOUGH THEATER COMPETITION CITY OF FUENLABRADA¿: Trophy, €1,200 and performance within the cultural programming of Fuenlabrada during the year 2024. ¿ 2nd Prize ¿YOUGH THEATER COMPETITION CITY OF FUENLABRADA¿: Trophy and 850 €. ¿ 3rd Prize ¿YOUGH THEATER COMPETITION CITY OF FUENLABRADA¿: Trophy and €700. ¿Access to the rest of the three groups selected in the ¿YOUGH THEATER COMPETITION CITY OF FUENLABRADA¿. Trophy and €500. The amount allocated to these prizes amounts to €4,250 charged to budget application 2024-4059-3343-48100. Six additional prizes will be awarded without financial prize, consisting of a diploma and trophy for the best lead performance, best supporting performance, best direction, best costumes and characterization, best staging and prize awarded by the public. DEADLINE: The registration period will be from January 15 to January 31, 2024. The application and presentation of the works in the competition is free and will be done online by email to the following address: certamenteatrojoven@ayto-fuenlabrada.es. The request must be accompanied by the documentation required in art. 4 of the bases, and will include a recording of a rehearsal of the work, according to art. 4 k) of the bases. JURY: It will be made up of 5 people and they will have to attend the performances and evaluate them and will be made up of: - A person designated by the Aldaba Youth Association. - A person representing the Fuenlabrada City Council. - A person linked to the world of amateur theater in Fuenlabrada. - 2 people related to the performing arts of recognized prestige AWARD AWARD: The finalist competing groups will receive communication of the prizes they have won at the Young Theater Gala. At least 2 people from each group included in the list of people in the technical sheet must attend this event. The financial prizes will be transferred to the account that the entity has provided in the documentation with your application.
