SPECIFIC RULES AND CALL FOR THE DANCE PRIZE OF THE INSTITUT DEL TEATRE 2024

Official description of the call

The full text of the call for the 2024 Theater Institute Dance Award will be published on the Theater Institute website within the "Dance Award" section. First.- Recipients and requirements Any person who, at the time of submitting the application, meets the following requirements can apply for the award: a. Any person who meets the following requirements: Having graduated or having achieved all credits in any specialty from the Higher Conservatory of Dance (CSD) or the Professional Conservatory of Dance (CPD), or having obtained the title or certificate of having completed studies with the Young IT Dance Company of the Theater Institute. In all cases, within the 2014-15 to 2023-24 academic years (both included). Note: it will be possible to apply for the call without meeting the requirement to obtain credits if it is expected that they will be obtained after the end of the application submission date. However, people who do not have a graduation degree or proof of payment thereof or a certificate of achievement of credits at the time the Jury deliberates will be automatically eliminated and will not be able to aspire to participate in the project. In the event of a tie, having the title will always prevail before having only the certificate of achievement of credits. b. Not having previously obtained the Dance Prize from the Theater Institute. c. Each signatory of the application may submit a single project to the current edition. Likewise, neither the signatory nor any member of his or her team may be part of any of the other aspiring proposals submitted for the Prize for the current edition. d. Comply with all the requirements requested in the documentation that must be attached to the call application, which is specified in the corresponding section later in these bases. The submission of a project to the Award necessarily implies: That apart from the person who signs or is represented in the call, the project also has a minimum of three performers who have graduated or who have achieved all the credits at the Higher Conservatory of Dance (CSD) or at the Professional Conservatory of Dance (CPD), or who have obtained the title or certificate of having completed their studies with the IT Dance Young Company of the Theater Institute. In all cases, within the 2014-15 to 2023-24 academic years (both included). These graduation requirements or obtaining credits must be accredited at the latest prior to the Jury's deliberation, otherwise the award will be automatically eliminated. However, it will be appreciated that the team is also made up of graduates from other schools of the Theater Institute in any of the specialties taught. to. The guarantee by the applicant of the unpublished nature of the project in the format presented and of the exclusive ownership of the intellectual property rights over this project, without any burden or limitation, with total indemnity for the Theater Institute. b. If you obtain the finalist award, be available and commit to presenting the short-term piece at the Finalists Gala open to the public that will take place at the Flower Market in the fourth quarter of 2024. c. If you win the Dance Prize at the Mercat de les Flors Finalists' Gala, be available and commit to presenting the full-length piece at the Grec Festival of Barcelona 2025. Second.- Purpose of the call The purpose of this call is to regulate and establish the criteria and procedure for the application, processing, granting, payment and justification of the Institute's Dance Prize 2024, which will be awarded to the best dance performance piece. Third.- Purpose of the Award The purpose of this Award is to support new talent and enhance the professional insertion of Graduates from the Higher Conservatory of Dance (CSD), the Professional Conservatory of Dance (CPD) or the Young IT Dance Company of the Theater Institute, supporting and promoting the production and exhibition of a professional stage project based on the language of Dance.
