Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Any natural person, public or private entity in the European Union may take part in the contest. Second. Purpose: Its purpose is to reward the development of an activity, product or service that, coming from the public or private sphere, has the characteristics of originality, creativity, innovation and social impact in relation to data protection and the guarantee of the rights and freedoms of people against gender-based digital violence. Preferably, those activities, products or services aimed at raising awareness and preventing different forms of gender-based digital violence will be considered of greatest interest. As an example of good practices, applications, guides, tools, processes or materials that public or private entities develop to prevent digital gender violence will be especially valued, both in the area of minors and adults. Third: Regulatory Bases. Resolution of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, dated May 23, 2024, published on the website www.aepd.es. Room. Prize: If the winning project corresponds to a natural person or private entity, the prize will consist of a financial award of three thousand euros (€3,000.00) and the dissemination of the winning work through the AEPD website. The jury may propose the award of a second prize worth one thousand five hundred euros (€1,500.00). If the jury proposes to declare the prize void, it may propose granting an additional second prize worth one thousand five hundred euros (€1,500.00). In the event that the winning candidacy of the prize or the second prize is a public entity, the prize will consist of an honorable mention, through a diploma awarded for this purpose, without a financial award and the dissemination of good practices. Likewise, each successful candidate will be awarded a trophy accrediting the prize they have won. Fifth. Application submission deadline: Applications must be submitted from the day following the date of publication of these bases in the Official State Gazette. The deadline for submitting works will end on October 15, 2024.
