Aid 2024/2025 to improve the advanced capabilities of commercial SMEs, according to the call made by Decree 108/2024, of September 3, 2024

Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b) and 20.8 a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.infosubvenciones.es) and in this Official Gazette of Extremadura. First. Beneficiaries. Small and medium-sized companies that carry out one of the retail commercial activities detailed in Annex A on a primary basis and that the commercial establishment for which the aid is requested is located within the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. Second. Object. Subsidies aimed at small and medium-sized retail companies, aimed at improving advanced capabilities by supporting investments in digitalization, energy efficiency, adaptation of commercial premises and expenses for the hiring of professional services for marketing and point of sale advice, improvement of digital reputation and for store design and window dressing, with the limits and requirements established in article 3 of the regulatory bases. Third. Regulatory bases. Decree 108/2024, of September 3, which establishes the regulatory bases for aid to improve the advanced capabilities of SMEs in the retail trade sector and approves the first call corresponding to the 2024-2025 financial year. Room. Amount. The aid regulated in this Decree will consist of a subsidy of 60% of eligible expenses and 75% if the project is developed in towns with less than 5,000 inhabitants, with the overall maximum limit of aid per establishment in both cases being 30,000 euros. The total amount of the call for aid amounts to 3,000,000.00 euros, and its budget allocation is as follows: 1,500,000.00 euros charged to the 2024 budget and 1,500,000.00 euros charged to the 2025 budget. The cost of the planned actions will be charged to the budget items contained in the Program 341A “Quality Commerce and Extremadura Crafts”, charged to the management center 140030000, budget application 14003341A77000, expenditure project code 20230017 called “Aid for the improvement of the advanced capabilities of commercial SMEs”. This aid is subject to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2021/1058 of the European Parliament and of the Council of June 24, 2021 regarding the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund, and is part of the ERDF 2021-2027 Extremadura program, with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within Political Objective 1: “Improve the competitiveness of the SME”, Investment Priority: 1.A “Digital and Intelligent Transition”, Specific Objective 1 iii). “the reinforcement of sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and the creation of jobs in them, also through productive investments.” They are 85% co-financed by the European Union, through FEDER funds. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting aid applications will begin on the day following the publication of this call and its corresponding extract in the Official Gazette of Extremadura and will end on July 31, 2025. Sixth. Other data. Payment of aid. A first advance payment of 50% of the subsidy awarded is foreseen, once the granting resolution has been issued and notified, and the remaining 50%, once the actions have been justified. Execution period and justification of investments. The granting resolution will establish a deadline for the execution and justification of the investments, in accordance with the execution schedule presented by the beneficiary together with the aid request. Within this period, the investments must be made or have been made and the invoices and their corresponding proof of payment must be dated. In any case, the maximum period for the execution and payment of the investments will end on September 15, 2025. The period for the presentation of the justification for the execution and payment will be 7 days from the end of the period granted in the concession resolution to carry out the activity.
