Rules and call for the XL EDITION “ANTÓN LOSADA DIÉGUEZ” PRIZE

Official description of the call

1. Purpose The Town Councils of O Carballiño and Boborás, both in Ourense, with the financial collaboration of the Excma. Provincial Council of Ourense, announce the annual “Antón Losada Diéguez” award (...) 2. Beneficiaries - Participation will be open to all authors who meet the requirements set forth in these bases and especially the following: - The language in which the works are published will be that of the original, which will inevitably be written in the Galician language. Any type of works translated from originals initially published in any other language will not be considered. (...) 3. Credit Said prize will consist of the provision of a total amount of TWELVE THOUSAND EUROS (€12,000) to reward two works already published, one of them in the field of LITERARY CREATION and the other in the field of RESEARCH and ESSAY, charged to budget item 3341146200. Each of the works will be awarded with the amount of SIX THOUSAND EUROS (€6,000). 4. Deadline The deadline for submitting the works will be from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the BOP and until January 31, 2025. 5. Award procedure and delivery of the Prize The award procedure will be competitive. The official presentation of the “Antón Losada Diéguez” award in its fortieth edition, to the authors of the winning works (literary creation and research and essay), will take place on June 14, 2025, and will take place during a literary event that will be held in the PAZO DE MOLDES, of the Boborás City Council, where the illustrious Antón Losada Diéguez was born and lived.
