Official description of the call

Extract from the agreement of November 8, 2024 of the Local Government Board of the Cádiz City Council approving the "CALL FOR SUBSIDIES UNDER THE REGIME OF COMPETITIVE CONCURRENCY OF THE MUNICIPAL DELEGATION OF FESTIVALS AND CARNIVAL FOR THE YEAR 2025". FIRST. Beneficiaries. Those entities, groups and non-profit associations that are going to carry out the activity for which the subsidy is requested in the municipality of Cádiz or through digital platforms or other formats may submit applications for subsidies provided for in this Call and that, in addition to the requirements indicated in article 13 of the LGS, meet those indicated in the call. SECOND. Object. The object of this Call is the regulation of the granting of subsidies, on a competitive basis, and within the budgetary limits that are specified, to non-profit entities, groups and associations, whose objective is the study, research, creation, dissemination and/or enhancement of the Cádiz identity culture of Carnival and popular traditions, for activities organized by said entities of a festive nature and social interest, provided that they promote participation in the festivities. gastronomy and the promotion of the city and the Carnival, with headquarters in Cádiz and scope of action in the municipality of Cádiz or through digital platforms or other formats during the year 2025 (in three lines described in article 3.3). The management and procedure to which they must be submitted in their processing, granting, acceptance and justification corresponds to the Municipal Delegation of Festivals and Carnival. THIRD. Purpose. The specific activities and programs that are allowed: a. Citizen participation in activities and programs that promote manifestations of Carnival culture. b. The promotion, dissemination and maintenance of traditional festivals of the city related to its Carnival. c. The organization of innovative activities and programs that enrich the city's festive and leisure environment. d. The initiative, creation, training and artistic dissemination of Cadiz. and. The maintenance, dissemination and expansion of the city's gastronomic festivals aimed at the general public. F. The activities and programs that complement and enrich the official programming organized by the Municipal Delegation of Festivals and Carnival. ROOM. Regulatory Bases. CALL FOR SUBSIDIES UNDER COMPETITIVE COMPETITION REGIME OF THE MUNICIPAL DELEGATION OF FESTIVALS AND CARNIVAL FOR THE YEAR 2025, approved by the Local Government Board on November 8, 2025. These subsidies will be governed by the provisions of their regulatory bases; in the execution bases of the budget of the Cádiz City Council for the financial year 2024; in Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies and in the General Regulations of the Subsidies Law approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21; in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, in the General Ordinance of Subsidies of the City Council of Cádiz and in the remaining administrative law regulations that may be applicable. FIFTH. Amount. The budget allocation of the call amounts to two hundred and twenty-eight thousand eight hundred euros (228,800.00.-€), broken down into three lines: LINE 1 CARNIVAL ACTIVITIES ON PREVIOUS DATES: €55,000.00 LINE 2 CARNIVAL ACTIVITIES DURING THE CARNIVAL: €110,000.00 LINE 3 SEA FESTIVAL AND CARNIVAL ACTIVITIES. TO DEC.: €63,800.00 SIXTH. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days from the day following the publication of this extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz. Cádiz, November 8, 2024.
