Official description of the call

Area of Social Services, Education, Citizen Participation, Youth and Equal Opportunities, extract of the bases of subsidies for federations and groups of youth entities of Palma for the year 2024. Beneficiary entities - legal entities under private or public law, - their activity must be of a cultural or educational nature, - they must be non-profit entities that provide services for young people within the field of leisure, - they must be federations, groups or scout movements, - they may manage or provide services to other groups, leisure centers, clubs or smaller entities. 2nd. Object and purpose of the subsidy It is the object of these Bases to regulate subsidies to support federations and groups of non-profit youth entities that: - act within the youth sphere of the municipality of Palma (it will have to be expressly stated in the statutes of the entity), - carry out projects and activities of general interest within the lines of revitalization, prevention and information in leisure. The objects of these subsidies are the programs, projects and initiatives of socio-educational and leisure activities, both regular and one-off, that are carried out in accordance with all or part of the following objectives: a) Facilitate the access of young people to leisure activities that promote knowledge and learning of an educational model of democracy and participation, solidarity, diversity and respect for others. b) Promote knowledge of our community's own culture in aspects such as language, historical-artistic heritage, popular festivals, music, etc. c) Promote the participation of youth in the management of their social and cultural life. d) Promote the learning of environmental education, with attitudes of respect, for the conservation of biodiversity and for the improvement of natural resources. e) Promote learning for sustainable development in daily life. f) Promote education for a healthy lifestyle, focusing especially on the aspects of prevention of addictive behaviors, the promotion of emotional well-being and health and emotional-sexual relationships that prevent socialization through pornography. g) Educate for gender equity and equal opportunities and treatment between women and men, respect for sexual and gender diversity, and the elimination of discrimination, direct or indirect, based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. 3rd. Regulatory bases For everything not provided for in these bases, the Municipal Subsidy Ordinance of the Palma City Council will apply, approved by the Plenary Session of the City Council in an ordinary session on February 26, 2015 and published in BOIB no. 35, of March 12, 2015 (edict 4143); Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies; the Regulations of the Law, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21; The consolidated text of the execution bases of the general budget corresponding to the fiscal year 2024; Legislative Decree 2/2005, of December 28, by which the Consolidated Text of the CAIB Subsidy Law is approved and Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, by which the Regulation of Organization, Functioning and Legal Regime of Local Entities is approved. 4th. Amount To meet the economic obligations that arise from the granting of the subsidies subject to this call, there is adequate and sufficient credit in item 25.33710.483.01 of the General Expenditure Budget of Palma City Council for the years 2024 and 2025.
