Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. Military personnel in Active Service or Reserve, prioritizing access to these scholarships to military personnel who, due to their employment or destination, can obtain a greater return from completing the master's degree and have more possibilities of occupying positions in which the training received is applicable. For the granting of these aids, the following requirements and priorities will be taken into account: First: military personnel of the Army on Active Duty assigned to units, centers or organizations of the Army, in accordance with the following preferences: 1.- Professors from military educational centers and command and headquarters analysts whose tasks are related to the contents of the master's degree. 2.- Lieutenant colonels and commanders on active duty. 3.- Captains and colonels on active duty. 4.- Generals on active duty. Second: military personnel of the Army on active duty assigned to units, centers or organizations outside the Army, in accordance with the same preferences defined in the first priority. Third: Army officers in reserve status who occupy positions related to the contents of the master's degree. Fourth: rest of the Army's military personnel on active duty. In the event of equal preference within a priority, the scholarship will be assigned based on seniority in employment. Those who are entitled to free tuition and do not pay any type of fee are excluded from this financial aid. Second.Object: The purpose of this call is the granting of scholarships for military personnel of the Army for enrollment in the Master's Degree in Strategic Thinking and Global Security at the University of Granada (UGR), contemplated in the corresponding subsidy line reflected in the Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Ministry of Defense for the period 2024-2026, Defense Order 13/2024, of May 20. Third. Regulatory bases: Approved by Defense Order/181/2024 of February 19, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of scholarships for enrollment in the Master in strategic thinking and global security for military personnel of the Army, published in the Official Defense Gazette No. 54 of March 1, 2024. Fourth. Amount: The financial award is 16,000 euros, with a maximum aid per enrolled student of 800 euros. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: Fifteen business days counted from the day following the day of publication in the "Official State Gazette." Sixth. Other information: The completion of the master's degree will be without prejudice to the service, although those designated will be authorized to be absent from the destination for the purpose of taking the exams and their attendance will be considered an act of service. The time dedicated in person or online to the execution of the mandatory Master's practices will also be considered an act of service, without the right to compensation. Incompatible with any other subsidy, aid, income or resources for the same purpose.
