Resolution of April 11, 2025 of the Sociological Research Center by which the call for subsidies for training and research in matters of interest to the organization is published, for the year 2025

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. Have Spanish nationality or be a national of a Member State of the Union or of third countries with legal residence in Spain. Be in possession of a graduate or bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications issued by a higher education institution in the European Higher Education Area. The applicants, as well as the members of the research teams, if applicable, do not comply with any of the prohibitions provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Not suffer from any illness or physical or mental limitation that makes it impossible for them to fulfill their obligations as a beneficiary of the scholarship. Likewise, applicants, as well as the members of the investigation teams, if applicable, must be up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations. Applicants for individual aid must prove that they are in one of the following cases: having achieved Research Sufficiency, being in possession of the Diploma of Studies, being in possession of the official university Master's degree, or equivalent, or being in one of the cases established in article 6, section 2, Requirements for Access to the Doctorate, of Royal Decree 99/2011, of January 28, which regulates official doctoral education. The main researchers of research teams requesting aid for the exploitation of one of the topics proposed in the purpose of this call must prove that they have a doctorate in some discipline or area of ​​social sciences. Applicants for aid for the completion of doctoral theses must prove that they are in one of the following cases: having achieved Research Proficiency, being in possession of the Diploma of Advanced Studies, being in possession of the official university Master's degree, or equivalent, or being in one of the cases established in article 6, section 2, Requirements for Access to the Doctorate, of Royal Decree 99/2011, of January 28, which regulates official teachings. Ph.D. In addition, they must justify that they are in the finalization phase of the doctoral thesis in Political Science or Sociology. All applicants must submit a completed responsible declaration (Annex III, published in the Resolution of the call) that the project presented does not have another type of simultaneous public or private aid or subsidy and of similar characteristics, and that the applicant or main researcher in the case of aid to research teams, has not received aid of the same type from the CIS in the immediately previous call. Second. Purpose To call, on a competitive basis, and in accordance with the principles of objectivity and publicity, eight grants for the exploitation of the CIS Data Bank, and two grants for the completion of doctoral theses in political science or sociology, in matters of interest to the Agency. The eight grants for the exploitation of the CIS Data Bank may be for individual researchers and/or research teams. Third. Regulatory Bases. Order PRE/593/2016, of April 21, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting by the Sociological Research Center of subsidies for training and research in matters of interest to the Agency. Room. Amount. In individual aid for the exploitation of the CIS Data Bank, the amount of each aid will be 6,000 euros. In the case of aid to a research team for the exploitation of the CIS Data Bank, the amount of each aid will be 10,000 euros, an amount that may be distributed heterogeneously among the members of each research team depending on the work actually carried out and the actual hours dedicated to the project according to the responsible declaration of conformity signed by the Principal Investigator (PI). In aid for the completion of doctoral theses the amount will be 5,000 euros each. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days, counting from the day following the publication of this extract of the call in the Official State Gazette. Sixth.
