Granting of subsidies to promote the blue economy and promote fishing and aquaculture sustainability, within the framework of the Pleamar Program, co-financed by FEMPA, in 2025

Official description of the call

First. - Beneficiary entities. Public and private non-profit legal entities and groups of the above may acquire the status of beneficiary entities, as provided in the typologies reflected in section 1 of article 2 of Order TED/920/2023, of July 18. Second. - Object. The purpose of the call is to support projects that promote the sustainability of fishing and aquaculture activities in line with the CFP, through the following themes: Promote, through research, sustainable fishing, the recovery and conservation of aquatic biological resources, reinforcing that fishing activities are economically, socially and environmentally sustainable and contribute to minimizing the possible adverse effects of fishing on the marine environment. Promote, through research, sustainable aquaculture activities, as well as the transformation and marketing of fishing and aquaculture products, with a gender focus, thus contributing to food security in the Union. Strengthen, through the generation of scientific knowledge, international ocean governance and make seas and oceans safe, protected, clean and managed sustainably, by promoting knowledge of the marine environment. Third. - Regulatory bases. Order TED/920/2023, of July 18, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies from the Biodiversity Foundation, F.S.P., on a competitive basis, for the promotion of the blue economy and the promotion of fishing and aquaculture sustainability, co-financed by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund. Room. - Endowment. The maximum global award for the call is €14,550,000. The minimum amount requested per project, developed individually, will be €100,000, and, if it is developed as a group, it will be €2,000,000. Fifth. - Application submission deadline. The period to submit applications will be 2 months and will begin the day following the date of publication of the extract of this call, under the terms and conditions specified in the regulatory bases. Sixth. - Other data. The full text of the call, as well as the rest of the relevant information about the process, will be published on the Biodiversidad Foundation website, www.fundacion-biodiversidad.es
