XI IIAMA Awards for the best Doctoral Thesis and the best Academic Work in Water Engineering

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries The Doctoral Theses and Academic Works (Final Degree Thesis or Final Master's Thesis) that are eligible for these awards must have been defended during the last two academic years 2023/2024 or 2024/2025 at a Spanish University, during the period between October 1, 2023 and the last day of the application period. Both the Doctoral Theses and the Academic Works (Final Degree Thesis or Final Master's Thesis) must be related to one of the IIAMA's lines of research, which can be consulted on its website (www.iiama.upv.es). In the case of the Doctoral Thesis, it must also have received a grade of Outstanding Cum Laude. In the event that the interested parties do not have tax residence in Spanish territory, they must present a certificate of tax residence issued by the competent authorities of their country of residence, in accordance with the provisions of article 22.5 of Royal Decree 887/2006, which approves the regulation of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Second. Purpose The purpose of this call is to award the best Doctoral Thesis and the best Academic Work by students from Spanish universities in the field of Water Engineering, which stand out for their technical and/or scientific quality, innovative nature and positive impact on society and/or the environment. Third. Regulatory bases Accessible at www.iiama.upv.es Fourth. Amount In this call the following prizes will be awarded: - Best Doctoral Thesis “Profesor Andrés Sahuquillo”: €2,500 - Best Academic Work (TFG or TFM): €1,500 - Thematic second prize “Water Engineering and Climate Change”: €500 - Thematic second prize “Water and City”: €500 - Thematic second prize “Planet and Development Goals” Sustainable”: €500 - Thematic runner-up “Desalination and Sustainable Development”: €500 Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications begins on the day following the publication of the extract of this resolution in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana and ends 20 business days from its publication.
