Official description of the call

Purpose of the call: The following call aims to help defray the expenses incurred by learning Basque for the 2024/2025 academic year, including summer and boarding courses (excluding travel, subsistence and accommodation costs), in order to normalize Basque and especially, with the aim of increasing the knowledge and use of said language. Beneficiaries: People who meet, among others, the following requirements will be eligible for this aid: a) Be registered in the Municipality of San Millán, at least before the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year. If, during the duration of the course, the registration occurs, the subsidy will be granted proportional to the time of registration. b) Be over 16 years old when registering. c) Be enrolled in one of the learning centers recognized by the Institute of Adult Literacy and Euskaldunization (HABE). d) In case of doing a Barnetegi or internship, comply with the previous requirement. Only the courses will be subsidized, with accommodation and meals being the responsibility of the student. e) The selected course must guarantee the minimum delivery of a level of the learning or literacy process. f) Guarantee that course attendance is at least 80 percent or pass the courses in which enrollment was made. Regulatory bases: Approved by the Full City Council of San Millán in a session held on May 14, 2025. Amount: The endowment of this call is 2,000.00 euros (budget application 335 482000). Application submission deadline: Applications must be submitted to the San Millán City Council, until October 31, 2025.
