Official description of the call

First. Call. In order to value and stimulate the research work of university students, the University of Huelva, at the initiative of the Vice-Rector's Office for Transfer and Territorial Development and the GTA Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability, announce the “CIRCULARITY” Awards, which focus on the granting of two prizes for those Final Degree Projects, hereinafter TFG, carried out at the University of Huelva and which may deal with any subject covered by the degree taken. but limiting it to topics of interest for the Circular Economy and Sustainability such as: Circularity in waste management and industrial processes (this must include the energy aspect). Environmental restoration of spaces affected by industrial or mining activity. New technologies that facilitate a circular economy in the Andalusian business fabric. Projects must have an eminently applied or scientific nature. Innovation and originality will be key when awarding these awards. This call for awards is aligned with strategic objectives 2, 3, 4, and 7 included in the Strategic Grant Plan of the University of Huelva 2025-2027 (approved by the Governing Council on January 29, 2025).) The award is made on a competitive basis. Second. Regulatory Bases. Included in the same call. Regulatory bases Awards for Final Degree and Master's Thesis of the GTA Chair in Circular Economy and Sustainability of the University of Huelva. Third. Financing. The modalities and prizes awarded will be: - For Final Degree Projects: • A first prize with a prize of 600 euros. ▪ A second prize with a prize of 350 euros. The corresponding tax withholding will be applied to the amount of each of the Prizes. The budget item allocated to the payment of these prizes will be: Expenditure center 80017017 - program 321A – economic classification 481.99: 950.00 euros. Room. Beneficiaries. Those who meet the following requirements may participate in said call: • Submit all the required documentation within the deadlines and manner established in this call. • Have defended their TFG in any degree from the University of Huelva and any call during the year 2024 and 2025. • Have not received any prize, both monetary or non-monetary, related to the TFG they present. • Have obtained a minimum grade of 7 out of 10 in the TFG presented. •Have worked on a topic related to any of the lines previously mentioned in point 1. •The works must address topics of interest to the Circular Economy and Sustainability Chair, and the applicant must clearly explain these aspects in the motivation letter. Comply with the deadlines and other provisions established in this call. The evaluation criteria for the TFG presented will be: • Novelty and relevance of the conclusions of the TFG with respect to the topics of interest related to point 1 of the call: up to 4 points. • Qualification of the TFG. -Remarkable. 1 point. -Outstanding: 2 points. -Honors: 3 points • Quality of the presentation, writing and clarity of the report: up to 3 points. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The period for submitting applications will be open until fifteen days after the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (B.O.J.A.), counting from the day after its publication.
