Resolution of December 9, 2025 of the Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Agenda by which the House of Architecture awards for the year 2026 are announced.

Official description of the call

First. – Beneficiaries. Natural and legal persons of Spanish nationality may be beneficiaries, or those who have their tax residence in Spain and are legally constituted on the date of the end of the application submission period. The holder of the candidacy, and therefore beneficiary, must be the author or co-author of the work or work presented, with the general requirements established in article 4 of the order of regulatory bases and the particular requirements for each modality. Second. - Object. The House of Architecture awards promote quality architecture in Spain and continuous research in this area. These awards recognize professionals who have contributed significantly to increasing the prestige of Spanish architecture, with the aim of highlighting Spanish architectural quality, both in urban and rural environments, recognizing its cultural, intellectual, artistic and professional dimension, and as a discipline that transversally affects the three axes of sustainability; social, economic and environmental. Third. - Regulatory Bases. This call will be governed, in general, by the provisions of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies (LGS), in Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulation of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies (RLGS) and in the Order VAU/1186/2024, of October 21, which establishes the regulatory bases for the House of Architecture awards. Additionally, it will be governed by the provisions of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations and by any other regulatory provision that, due to its nature, may be applicable. Room. – Amount. The maximum amount attributable to the call will be €90,000.00. In accordance with article 56 of Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulation of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, this call will be approved in a budgetary year prior to that in which both the resolution thereof and the execution of the expenditure will take place, as the requirement that said article provides, in the letter a) of the first section, for advance processing. Therefore, the maximum total amount previously established for this call will be estimated and the granting of subsidies will be conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit at the time of the granting resolution. The 2026 House of Architecture awards will be funded from budget application 25.07.261R.481. Fifth. - Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be thirty business days from the day following the publication of this resolution in the Official State Gazette. The electronic headquarters will be available from the day following the publication of this resolution on the website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda and until 11:59 p.m. on the last day of presentation. Sixth. - Procedure. The granting of these prizes will be carried out on a competitive basis. The competent body for the instruction of the procedure will be the General Subdirectorate of the House of Architecture. If the candidacy does not meet the requirements established in the call, the examining body will require the interested person to correct it within the maximum and non-extendable period of ten business days, indicating that, if they do not do so, their application will be considered withdrawn. The collegiate body, in accordance with the assessment criteria established in article 10.2 of the basic order, will examine and evaluate the applications and documentation presented. Once the applications have been evaluated, the collegiate body will issue a report with the result of the evaluation carried out and will submit it to the instructing body. In accordance with article 9 of the Order that establishes the regulatory bases for this aid, the evaluation will be carried out by a Jury. The General Subdirectorate of the House of Architecture, as the instructing body, will make the proposed resolution of the House of Architecture awards taking into account the file and the report of the Jury.
