2026 aid to livestock breeders' associations for management expenses of breeding programs, pursuant to Resolution of December 9, 2025, which calls for them

Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b) and 20.8. a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, and in article 16.q) of Law 6/2011, of March 23, of Subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, the extract of the aid for the establishment and maintenance of breeding programs for Spanish native livestock breeds in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura is published, the text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.infosubvenciones.gob.es) and in this DOE. First. Object. Call, by early processing, aid for the year 2026, under a competitive competition and periodic call, aimed at associations of breeders and breeders of livestock that have been recognized to apply a breeding program approved by the competent authority and other autonomous associations recognized by the competent authority that collaborate in carrying out the activities included in the dissemination program of said breeds, within the actions included in the Strategic Plan of the Community Agrarian Policy of Spain 2023-2027, Intervention “6505.2, Non-GISC genetic resource conservation activities”, 75% co-financed through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). Second. Beneficiaries. Associations of breeders of native Spanish livestock breeds that are non-profit and that have been officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food or by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Sustainable Development, in accordance with article 9 of Royal Decree 45/2019. Likewise, those autonomous Associations recognized by the competent authority and collaborating in carrying out the activities included in the dissemination program for said breeds may also be beneficiaries. Third. Regulatory bases. Decree 64/2024, of July 2, which establishes the regulatory bases for aid for the establishment and maintenance of breeding programs for native Spanish livestock breeds, in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura and calls for aid for the year 2024. Fourth. Amount. The aid referred to in this call will be financed from the budget application 120020000 G/312B/47000 FR23700502 20230335 with an initial allocation for the 2026 annuity of 1,300,000 euros (one million three hundred thousand euros). The aid is 75% co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), within the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027, in Intervention 6505.2 “Non-GISC genetic resource conservation activities”, with the rest co-financed by the Government of Extremadura and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. If budgetary availability allows it, it may be increased up to 20% of the initial amount, or up to the corresponding amount when such increase is a consequence of a generation, incorporation of credit, or in the case of credits declared expandable, always before resolving the granting of the same without the need to open a new call. The maximum amount of aid for actions aimed at the conservation, characterization, compilation and use of genetic resources in livestock farming will be the following: 100% eligible expenses in the management actions of herd books. 70% eligible expenses in the implementation and development actions of the improvement program (conservation and/or selection) officially recognized for the breed. 100% eligible expenses related to actions of the improvement dissemination programs. The maximum subsidy values ​​per association being: For the expenses included within the management of genealogical books it will be 80,000.00 euros. For the expenses included within the selection/conservation actions contemplated in the breeding program it will be 50,000.00 euros. For the expenses included within the actions of the improvement dissemination programs it will be 30,000.00 euros. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of Extremadura of the call and this extract.
