BBRR and Call for grants to carry out Global Citizenship Education projects for Non-Governmental Development Organizations (NGDO) by 2026

Official description of the call

1.- PURPOSE AND ELIGIBLE ACTIONS. PURPOSE. The purpose of these Bases is to establish specific rules, within the framework of the General Subsidies Ordinance of this Provincial Council, to regulate access to public subsidies under ordinary competitive competition, intended for NGDOs to carry out awareness-raising, information, training and research projects in education for global citizenship in municipalities of the province of Cáceres with less than 20,000 inhabitants, all with the aim of supporting actions that promote International Cooperation as a tool for the promotion of human rights and peacebuilding, contributing to the formation of a civil society committed to solidarity among peoples and enriching collective knowledge about economic, social and political forces and their relationships, to better understand the causes of poverty and inequality, while promoting the values of multiculturalism, equity, gender equality and social justice, always focusing on the promotion of the development and well-being of the countries of the Global South, and in particular those included as aid recipient countries on the CAD (Development Assistance Committee) list. ELIGIBLE ACTIONS. Those training, information, promotion, prevention and social awareness activities that are developed in the province of Cáceres through courses, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, meetings, research, creation of networks, development of instruments and materials, conferences, talks, presentations or others of a similar nature, which promote the construction of a civil society committed to the objectives of International Development Cooperation, may be the subject of aid, and must be oriented improve the living conditions of people in the countries of the Global South, as well as the preservation of Global Assets.2.- BUDGET ALLOCATION This subsidy plan is included in the General Budget of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, in application 2026.01.2313.48606, endowed with a total amount of ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND EUROS (€150,000). The maximum amount to be granted to each entity will be SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EUROS (€6,500). 3.- APPLICANT ENTITIES: REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS. NGDOs in the province of Cáceres that meet the following requirements may apply for these aid: 1. Have legal personality, capacity to act and be non-profit, aspects that must be included in its statutes.2. Be duly constituted and registered in the Registry of Non-Governmental Development Organizations of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, prior to the publication of this call.3. Be up to date in compliance with obligations with Social Security and tax obligations with the State Treasury and Excma. Provincial Council of Cáceres. 4. Not be subject to any prohibition to obtain the status of beneficiary of public subsidies contemplated in article 13 of the LGS.5. Have headquarters or permanent delegation in the territory of the province of Cáceres, equipped with sufficient human and technical resources to guarantee the fulfillment of its purposes.6. Not have economic or institutional dependence on any for-profit entity.4.- APPLICATION: DOCUMENTS, SUBMISSION PERIODThe applications will necessarily be completed with the electronic means available at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Cáceres. The application, once completed, must be signed electronically by the person who appears as the legal representative of the entity, using one of the electronic signature systems based on certificates to guarantee the identification of the applicants and, where appropriate, case, the authenticity and integrity of the electronic documents.5.- DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS. Applications must be submitted within 20 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres, those submitted after the deadline will not be admitted.6.- GRANT. AWARD CRITERIA. The Assessment Commission will carry out the evaluation of the applications, based on the following criteria. Each project will be valued from 0 to 10 points, according to the following criteria:1. Accredited experience of the ONGD in the management of Education projects
