Research 2026: Awards for doctoral theses, master's thesis, degree thesis, higher degree final professional training projects, and aid for the development of doctoral theses and research projects

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: Any person or group of people who wish to carry out a research project may attend. In the case of a research group, it must consist of a maximum of five members and will have a principal investigator (PI) at the head who will necessarily be a doctor and will act for all purposes as responsible for the project. Any person who is enrolled in a doctoral program and whose doctoral thesis project covers a topic related to any of the priority lines of research defined in Annex 2 may attend. Second. Purpose: Contribute to the development of research in Social Sciences and Humanities in the province of Alicante and support complementary experiences to teacher training and the development of research attitudes. Third. Regulatory bases: Specific bases included in the Call and published on the electronic headquarters of the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert (https://iacjuangilalbert.sedeelectronica.es) Fourth. Amount: The total amount of the Call will be forty-eight thousand five hundred euros (€48,500) distributed as follows: 2 awards for doctoral theses, endowed with two thousand euros (€2,000) each 1 award for the Master's Thesis (TFM,) endowed with five hundred euros (€500) 2 awards for the Final Degree Project (TFG,) endowed with five hundred euros (€500) 5 grants for carrying out research projects, with a maximum of eight thousand euros (€8,000) each. 3 grants for carrying out doctoral theses, with a maximum of one thousand euros (€1,000) each. Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications: Interested parties will electronically submit their application and corresponding documentation to the General Registry of the Juan Gil-Albert Alicante Institute of Culture, within a period of thirty business days counted from the day following the publication of the extract of the Call in the Official Gazette of the Province. Applications will be formalized using the standardized model according to the type of participation (awards for doctoral thesis, TFM, TFG or aid for the development of thesis and research projects) that appears in the “electronic processing” section of the reference call. The application will include a CV in CVN format, an official certified academic certification of the person requesting the award stating the date of completion and their qualification, a summary of the work of a maximum of 10 pages, as well as the complete work in PDF format. You must also provide documentation of being up to date with the Treasury, Social Security and a responsible declaration of being up to date with the Provincial Council and the Institute. Those people who have developed and defended their doctoral thesis during the year 2025 may participate. For the TFM and TFG, all those who have developed and defended it until the year 2025 may participate. The application corresponding to the type of aid for the completion of doctoral thesis must include a CV in CVN format, official certified academic certification of the person requesting the aid stating that the applicant is enrolled in a doctoral program and that, as of December 31, 2025, the defense of the thesis has not been carried out, as well as a descriptive report of the tasks to be carried out and the research objectives to be achieved with the help received signed by the applicant and the person directing the thesis. The report must be delivered within a period established until October 15, 2026. You must also provide documentation of being up to date with the Treasury, Social Security and a responsible declaration of being up to date with the Provincial Council and the Institute. The request for aid to a research project will include the CVN format CV of the main researcher, as well as the CVN format CV of each member of the team and the technical report of the project must include: title, introduction (where the purpose of the project is specified, background and state of the matter), objectives (starting hypothesis and specific objectives, methodology and work plan (activities or tasks and temporal planning), adjusted and detailed budget of the project as well as bibliography. The project must be completed, at the latest, on October 15
