SPECIFICATIONS AND CALL FOR THE ANNUAL MONOGRAPH COMPETITION “NUESTRA AMÉRICA” 2026.

Official description of the call

First: Beneficiaries As many people as they wish may participate as individual or collective authors. Second: Object The Provincial Council of Seville convenes the annual contest “NUESTRA AMERICA 2026” corresponding to the year 2026 to award a prize and second place to monographs on topics of History, Literature, or Art related to those countries or areas that have been linked at some point to Spain and especially Andalusia. The aim is to maintain the Americanist vocation of Seville, taking into account not only the historical circumstances known to all, but also the factors that currently exist in it, to promote research on America. Third: Regulatory Bases The Regulatory Bases of the aforementioned Contest are published in the Official Provincial Gazette, on the Electronic Board and the Transparency Portal of the Provincial Council of Seville. Fourth: Amount The prize is worth €4,500.00 and the second prize is worth €2,000.00 (amounts to which the withholdings provided for in tax legislation will be applied). Fifth: Deadline for submission of applications The deadline for submission of works will end on September 4, 2026. Sixth: Others The works together with the application model that you will find on the website of the Provincial Council of Seville: https://archivoypublicaciones.dipusevilla.es/publicaciones/concursos/concurso-nuestra-america/ may be submitted through the systems indicated below: 1.- Telematic presentation: Through the website of the Provincial Council www.dipusevilla.es.- Electronic Headquarters - Generic Application for the Provincial Council of Seville. In the event that, due to the size or format of the work, it cannot be sent through the Electronic Registry, it may be sent by email to the address ConcursoNuestraAmerica@dipusevilla.es, the submission of the application through the electronic registry being ESSENTIAL (even if the work is sent by e-mail) and reference must be made to the registration number of the application in the aforementioned email. If for technical reasons, the presentation by the Electronic Registry of the Provincial Council of Seville is not feasible, the application must be sent by email, once digitally signed through the digital signature system or any other official identification system of the country of origin, if any. You may also contact the Archives and Publications Service via email, ConcursoNuestraAmerica@dipusevilla.es, at least 3 days before the end of the submission period, requesting advice on this process. 2.- Submission by certified mail: The originals and the application may be sent by certified mail to the following address: Provincial Council of Seville, Archive and Publications Service, Avda. Menéndez Pelayo, 32, C.P. 41071 Seville, following the indications of the proposals submitted directly, and it is mandatory to send, via e-mail, the application sealed by the postal service. 3.- In-person presentation: In the General Registry of the Provincial Council of Seville, Area of ​​Culture and Citizenship. Likewise, it can be delivered in person at the assistance offices of the Electronic Registry of the Provincial Council or by any of the means established in section 4 of article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations (LPAC).
