SUBSIDIES TO SUPPORT ENTREPRENEURSHIP, EXPANSION OR TRANSFER, CONSOLIDATION AND DIGITAL UPDATE AND BUSINESS SUCCESSION 2026

Official description of the call

First.- Purpose of the subsidy One of the main axes of the Elgoibar City Council is to maintain a living and active municipality. Therefore, it is key to stimulate the creation of new companies, consolidate them and maintain those that have an active business. All of this plays a fundamental role in the generation of employment and wealth. As an effective instrument to support the economic activity of the municipality, the Elgoibar City Council launches an economic support fund for companies in the municipality, in order to promote the initiative of new business activities, consolidate them and maintain those that have a viable business. Using this fund, the Elgoibar City Council will provide aid to those companies that have a business project located in the municipality, as well as to existing businesses so that they do not close their activity, and their activity conforms to what is included in this document. Furthermore, this aid program aims to make a greater effort to recover empty commercial premises in the historic center of Elgoibar. It is key to the revitalization process of these areas to promote commercial activity, to recover the economic function and revitalize these axes. Within this line of subsidies, four types will be developed: a)-Subsidy for the creation of economic activity: Support for new business initiatives that generate employment. (ANNEX I) b)-Subsidy for succession of economic activities: Succession/business relief by natural or legal person(s). (ANNEX II) In each ANNEX of each subsidy line, all the conditions of each of them are detailed. All subsidy lines are compatible with each other, except line a) Subsidy for creation of economic activity: Support for new business initiatives that generate employment and line b) Subsidy for succession of economic activities: Business succession/removal by natural or legal person(s). Second.- Requirements to apply for the subsidy The beneficiaries of all lines of subsidies must not be serving an administrative or criminal sanction for incurring discrimination based on sex or be sanctioned under the law for the Equality of Women and Men. Companies with public participation, Public Companies, public law entities and non-profit foundations and associations will be excluded from the possibility of obtaining these subsidies. Third.- Amount of the subsidy The following amounts from the Corporation's budget will be allocated to the granting of these subsidies: ITEM: “ELGOIBAR EKINEAN”. 1 0104.471.422.00.04 2026 AMOUNT: €72,000 In any case, if the credit allocated for this subsidy does not cover the expense of the approved subsidies, it will be distributed proportionally among them. In the event that, after the credit enabled in a certain subsidy line corresponding to the same budget item has been exhausted, there are unmet requests, and, in the remaining subsidy lines of said item, there is sufficient credit for the unresolved requests, the remaining credit in said lines may be used in order to meet the unresolved requests, as long as the competent body so agrees. Fourth.- Deadline and place for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications to obtain subsidies, addressed to the convening body and signed by the beneficiary or person representing him/her, along with the attached documentation, will end on October 31, 2026 (inclusive). Subsidy applications must be made electronically through the municipal website, www.elgoibar.eus. To carry out the procedure electronically, it is necessary to have a digital certificate (B@K-Q, electronic DNI, IZENPE card, etc.).
