Calls for, by 2026, the granting of subsidies to promote associations to representative associative entities of the fishing sector.

Official description of the call

First.- Beneficiaries. The following entities may be beneficiaries of the subsidies: Associative entities representing the extractive sector of artisanal coastal fishing. Associative entities representing the extractive business fishing sector. Representative associative entities of the aquaculture sector. Representative associative entities of the fishing products processing sector. Associative entities representing the marketing-distributor sector of fishing products. Legal entities whose corporate purpose is to promote industrial research, technological development and R&D&i projects in the fishing sector. Associative entities whose objective is to promote the defense of the economic and professional interests of women who work in the fishing sector. These entities must comply with the requirements established in article 2.2 of the Royal Decree on the regulatory bases of aid. Second.- Object. For the year 2026, under a competitive competition regime, the granting of subsidies to national entities is called for the implementation of the activities provided for in sections a), b) and c) of article 1 of Royal Decree 849/2017, of September 22, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies to promote associations to associative entities representative of the fishing sector. The activities subject to subsidy in this call will be those carried out between September 16, 2025 and September 15, 2026. Third.- Regulatory bases. Royal Decree 849/2017, of September 22 (BOE of September 23, 2017), which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies to promote associations to representative associative entities of the fishing sector, modified by Royal Decree 862/2018, of July 13 (BOE of July 14, 2018), by the Royal Decree 367/2021, of May 25 (BOE of May 26, 2021), and by the second final provision of Royal Decree 685/2021, of August 3 (BOE of August 4, 2021). Fourth.- Amount. The financing of the subsidies provided for in this Order will be carried out under budget concept 21.11.415B.483 "Aid for the promotion and support of fishing associations" of the General State Budgets for 2026, the maximum total amount of which is five hundred and fifty thousand euros (€550,000). Fifth.- Deadline for submission and applications. Applications will be submitted within fifteen business days, counted from the day following the date of publication of this extract in the "Official State Gazette", in the electronic registry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, through its electronic headquarters (https://sede.mapa.gob.es/portal/site/seMAPA), according to articles 14 and 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. Sixth.- Assessment criteria. The distribution of available funds will be carried out in accordance with the criteria established in article 4 of the Call.
