First.– Beneficiaries. Private companies that are administrative owners of slate manufacturing plants authorized in accordance with Law 22/1973, of July 21, on Mines, and located in the territory of the Community of Castilla y León may be beneficiaries of these subsidies. – Purpose. The purpose of this order is to approve the regulatory bases that are included as Annex I of this Order, which will govern the granting of subsidies from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, for the improvement of working and environmental conditions in relation to dust and respirable crystalline silica, originating in slate manufacturing warehouses and their annexed premises, located in Castilla y León and to call for the subsidies for the period 2023-2024 1. They will be Eligible are those investments aimed at the following actions: Line 1: Investments in equipment or facilities of low technical complexity for cleaning, so that waste is managed so as not to affect the environment. It consists of industrial vacuum cleaners and a water network for cleaning. Line 2: Investments in improvements that involve a certain complexity, design and, especially whose results are susceptible to being verified, which will be indicated in the technical-economic project. It consists of extractions, filtrations and other dust-related improvements for the protection of the atmospheric environment. Line 3: Investments in improvements that involve a certain complexity, design and, especially whose results are susceptible to being verified, which will be indicated in the technical-economic project. It consists of localized collection and extraction systems, cabins and other improvements to the working conditions of workers in slate production plants related to respirable crystalline silica. Third.– Regulatory bases. Order EYH/929/2023, of July 19, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at companies, under a competitive competition regime, the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at private companies, under a competitive competition regime, for the improvement of working and environmental conditions with respect to dust and respirable crystalline silica in the slate production warehouses and their annexed premises, located in Castilla y Leon. Fourth.– Amount. The amount intended to finance the subsidies called amounts to €500,000 (€300,000 in 2023 and €200,000 in 2024). For Line 1, the amount of €100,000 and for Lines 2 and 3, €200,000 respectively. The intensity of the subsidy will be 60%, 50% and 40% of the total eligible investment, respectively in the case of small, medium and large companies or companies belonging to the business group; with the maximum limits established in the call. Fifth. – Deadline for submitting applications. The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty days, counting from the publication of this extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León.
