First.-Beneficiaries a) City councils of municipalities in the province of Palencia with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants for the hiring of performances by traditional and/or dulzaina dance groups. b) City councils of municipalities in the province of Palencia with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants and more than 800 inhabitants for the hiring of traditional and/or dulzaina dance classes. Those town councils that have had help from the Provincial Council for this same purpose in previous years will also be eligible for a subsidy in this section. Second.- Object The purpose of this call is to grant subsidies to municipalities in the province of Palencia for: a) Hiring performances by traditional and/or dulzaina dance groups. b) Hiring traditional and/or dulzaina dance classes: A subsidy may be requested in either of the two sections for the hiring of activities related to folklore, carried out from October 31, 2023 to October 30, 2024, and the activity for which the subsidy is requested must have already been carried out. This subsidy is included within the measures to achieve Goal 11.4 "Protection of cultural and natural heritage" of the Sustainable Development Goals. Third.- Eligible performances/expenses Hiring performances by traditional and/or dulzaina dance groups with registered office in the province of Palencia and/or dance or dulzaina teachers residing in the province of Palencia, subsidized expenses being considered those that unquestionably respond to the nature of the subsidized activity, and must be paid at the time of requesting the aid. Fourth.- Amount The total amount of the subsidies amounts to €60,000, of which €45,000 will be allocated to subsidies for hiring performances and €15,000 for hiring classes. a) Hiring traditional and/or dulzaina dance groups: The maximum number of performances that may be requested will be established based on the number of population centers (neighborhood councils) that the requesting town council has, including itself, in accordance with the scale indicated, not being able to centralize all the performances granted in the locality of the requesting town council. - One and two population centers: 1 action. - From three to six population centers: 2 actions. - More than six population centers: 3 actions. For each performance, 80% of the justified expense will be subsidized, up to a maximum of €500 in the case of traditional dance and €200 in the case of dulzaina. b) Hiring dance and/or dulzaina classes: The minimum number of hours of classes, of each modality, to be contracted will be a 24-hour module that will be developed in a minimum of three months, subsidizing 80% of the justified expense, up to a maximum of €700 per module. Only one module of each modality will be subsidized. Fifth.- Application submission deadline From the day following the publication of the call in the BOP, until October 30, 2024, included. Sixth.- The annexes and other documentation corresponding to this call will be available to interested parties at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Palencia https://sede.diputaciondepalencia.es.
