Subsidies to passenger transport companies for vehicle adaptation

Official description of the call

First.-Beneficiaries: The natural or legal persons holding authorizations for the discretionary transport of passengers in vehicles of categories M1, with up to 9 seats including the driver (VT), and M2 and M3, with more than nine seats (VD), both domiciled in the Principality of Asturias, may be beneficiaries of these subsidies. The ownership of the authorization must coincide with the circulation permit of the vehicle for which the aid is requested. Second.-Object: The object of these subsidies is the acquisition of new adapted vehicles or their adaptation, as well as the purchase of already adapted used vehicles of categories M1, M2 and M3, which have transport authorization of the VD and VT series and meet the accessibility characteristics defined in this point. In the case of the acquisition of new adapted vehicles and adaptation of existing ones, only the costs of adapting the vehicle to the regulations indicated below will be eligible for subsidies. In the case of the acquisition of used vehicles already adapted, the eligible amount will be equivalent to the percentage that the cost of the adaptation represented on the total cost of the vehicle when it was acquired by the first owner of the vehicle (if the cost of the first adaptation represented 10% of the total price, the amount to be subsidized will be 10% of the acquisition price of the current owner). Only a maximum of two vehicles per company will be subject to subsidy. The technical characteristics of the vehicles whose acquisition or renovation can be supported must comply with the requirements indicated in Annex VII of Directive 2001/85, and Royal Decree 1544/2007, of November 23, which regulates the basic conditions of accessibility and non-discrimination for the access and use of modes of transport for people with disabilities. Actions carried out during the period between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 will be eligible for subsidies. Input VAT will not be considered eligible. Likewise, given the lack of assessment criteria, the procedure for granting this aid will, exceptionally, be that of proration, as only the cost of eligible investments within the period referred to will be taken into account for the granting of aid. The proration procedure allows all subsidy applicants to obtain it in proportion to the investment made and the credit available in each call, thus promoting the adaptation of vehicles. The investments will be justified by the presentation of the documentation included in the third point of the regulatory bases mentioned in the following section, corresponding to the period between July 1, 2023 and June 28, 2024. Third.-Regulatory bases: The Bases that must govern this Call have been approved by Resolution of the Ilmo. Minister of Rural Affairs and Territorial Cohesion 10/04/2022 (BOPA 10/19/2022). Fourth.-Amount: The amount of aid amounts to 80,000 euros. These Aids are subject to the de minimis regime. Fifth.-Deadline for submitting applications: Applications will be submitted from the day following the publication of the call extract in the BOPA until June 28, 2024 electronically.
