SUBSIDIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS INITIATION ACTIVITIES DURING THE 2024/2025 SEASON (MUNICIPAL PROMOTION SPORTS SCHOOLS 2024/2025).

Official description of the call

FIRST.- OBJECT: The purpose of this call is to regulate the procedure for granting subsidies, on a competitive basis, to promote sports initiation activities during the 2024/2025 season that are promoted by private non-profit entities, and that can be considered of social interest for the Pontevedra City Council, contributing to the achievement of one or more of the planned objectives and especially to the promotion of the practice of physical activity and of sport. SECOND.- BENEFICIARIES: The following may apply for the subsidies regulated in this call: Private non-profit sports entities, validly constituted, that have their registered office in the municipality of Pontevedra, carry out activities of municipal interest and are duly registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations and in the Registry of Sports Entities of the Xunta de Galicia. The sports federations of a regional, provincial or local nature, validly constituted, even if they are not domiciled in the municipality of Pontevedra, that carry out activities of municipal interest within the City Council or for the benefit of it. The associations of mothers and fathers (AMPAS) and the sports entities of the public schools in the rural areas of the municipality of Pontevedra. Non-profit associations dedicated to the field of people with disabilities and dependency, which carry out activities of municipal interest (may request sports initiation programs for special groups (line C), regulated in base 3 of the call). THIRD.- REGULATORY BASES: General Subsidy Ordinance of the Pontevedra City Council approved by the Municipal Plenary on September 17, 2004, and published in the Pontevedra BOP No. 190 dated September 20. FOURTH.- BUDGET, MAXIMUM SUBSIDY AMOUNT AND MAXIMUM FINANCABLE EXPENDITURE PERCENTAGE To finance these subsidies, a maximum credit of €250,000.00 will be allocated, with an amount of €37,500.00 being allocated to the budget application 05.3410.489.02 of the 2024 expenditure budget. (15%) and the remaining financing corresponding to the year 2025 in the amount of €212,500.00 (85%) is conditional on its appropriation in the budget itself for the year 2025. Within the limits established above, the amount of subsidies granted may reach up to 100% of the real cost of the activity as it is an activity of great public interest aimed at the promotion and initiation into sport among the school-age population and among groups of population that has especially limited access to sport. FIFTH.- DEADLINE AND FORM OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: The deadline for submitting applications will be fifteen (15) calendar days counted from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of the extract of the call for the subsidy. The subsidy application, along with the remaining documentation, must be submitted through the Electronic Headquarters of the Pontevedra City Council (https://sede.pontevedra.gal), through the procedure established for this purpose, in compliance with the provisions of article 14.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of Public Administrations.
