Extract of the call: In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (https://www.pap.hacienda.gob.es/bdnstrans/index) Beneficiaries: You may compete here. 2025 call for the “Benito Pérez Galdós International Novel Prize” any person of legal age, regardless of their nationality, origin or place of residence, who has not obtained this same award in previous calls by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to grant, on a competitive basis, a novel prize to promote culture in general and that of the Canarian narrative in particular, encouraging the participation of new values ​​of the novel genre while representing an outstanding tribute to the universal figure of the Canarian writer. Regulatory bases: General Subsidies Ordinance of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. Amount: A SINGLE PRIZE is established with a financial award of FIFTEEN THOUSAND (15,000.00) EUROS plus the publication of said work by the Pérez Galdós House-Museum and the Publishing Department of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria in the terms determined by the latter. The prize will be subject to current tax legislation, with legally established withholdings being made on said financial award. The prize may be declared void if the Jury considers that none of the works presented meet the minimum quality requirements for its award. Deadline for submitting applications: Within the maximum period of forty-five (45) calendar days, counting from the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas, interested parties must present the documentation referred to in Base Six of the call. The novel, which in any case will have electronic PDF format, will be presented through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria [https://sede.grancanaria.com] or in person at the places detailed in the Fifth Base (Place of Presentation) of the call, along with the rest of the documentation necessary to participate in this call and which is detailed in the Sixth Base (Documentation necessary for processing) of the call.
