PUBLIC CALL FOR SUBSIDIES FOR ACTIVITIES OF NEIGHBOR ASSOCIATIONS, YEAR 2025

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries Those Neighborhood Associations that are registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations of the City of Ponferrada, in the field of Citizen Participation as such, may be beneficiaries of the subsidies regulated in these bases, before the start date of the calculation of the deadline for the presentation of applications that refer to these bases, and have not received other subsidies from this City Council in the current year for the same purpose. Second. Object and purpose 1.- In order to determine the procedure to which the processing and granting of subsidies must be submitted, under a competitive competition regime, for the carrying out of activities by the neighborhood associations of the municipality that have the objective of promoting the participation of neighbors in matters of public citizen interest, these bases are established where the cases in which their granting is appropriate are determined and the conditions for their granting are established. 2. The specific objectives of this call are: - Strengthen the social and neighborhood fabric of the city. - Promote the revitalization of the collective life of the neighborhood and the relationship between neighbors. - Promote open spaces for debate, exchange of ideas and preparation of proposals. - Facilitate social cohesion in the city. - Promote work in networks, between associations and these with institutions, especially with Neighborhood Councils and Neighborhood Mayors and citizens. - Influence training and information on civic behavior in general. - Promote volunteering to recover spaces in the neighborhood, town or city. - Facilitate care for neighbors in an appropriate manner. Third. Regulatory Bases General Subsidies Ordinance in the Ponferrada City Council, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León on March 5, 2005. Fourth. Amount 1.- AAVV ACTIVITIES: Maximum budget €12,574. 1.1.- LINE 1 Within this line, eligible expenses are considered to be those derived from carrying out activities of a recreational nature, as long as they refer to the maintenance of traditions of the El Bierzo Region or specifically of the town or neighborhood where they are held, such as; magicos, neighborhood gatherings, San Juan bonfires, traditional festivities, etc. The maximum amount of the subsidy will be €500 per project. At most only one activity will be financed within this line. 1.2.- LINE 2 Within this line, eligible expenses are considered those derived from carrying out activities of an educational, welfare, integrative nature, promotion of equality, promotion of citizen participation, dissemination and, in general, all those that do not have an eminently recreational nature. For informational purposes only, talks, courses, conferences, volunteer projects, seminars, acquisition of material for repairs of general interest, etc. are considered eligible for subsidies within this line. The maximum amount of the subsidy will be €1,000 per project. A maximum of two activities can be financed within this line. 2.- RENTAL AND MAINTENANCE OF PREMISES: Maximum budget €13,000 Eligible expenses are considered to be those derived from the management and maintenance of local headquarters, understood as such expenses as those related to supplies, painting of premises, cleaning, insurance, acquisition of non-inventory consumables. The acquisition of inventory material, such as furniture, computers, printers, appliances, etc., will not be accepted. A maximum amount is established for this subsidy line of €1,500. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province. Sixth. Other information The execution period of the activities to be subsidized will be between January 1 and December 31, 2025 (expenses will only be eligible for subsidies if the date of the invoices and supporting documents correspond to that year). The justification period will be until January 31, 2026. This period may be extended, by agreement of the competent body (Mayor-President) for another 15 days, provided that the rights of third parties are not harmed and that the beneficiary presents the
