From the Mayor's Office 3806/2025 of November 5, 2025, approval of the call for subsidies for cultural activities carried out in the municipality of Castro-Urdiales during the year 2025

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: All cultural associations and private non-profit entities, legally constituted and duly registered in the municipal registry of associations and whose preferred area of ​​action is the municipality of Castro-Urdiales, may apply for subsidies. Applications from entities that are part of a current collaboration agreement with the Castro-Urdiales City Council that includes the granting of a subsidy will not be accepted. Associations may opt for the two subsidy modalities governed by these bases: ordinary and extraordinary, with a single project per modality. The grant application of a federation of associations will exclude that of its members separately and vice versa, as long as it is for the same project. Nor will those applicants who have outstanding debts of any type with the municipal Treasury, nor those who apply in any of the circumstances provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, be eligible for these subsidies. Second. Purpose The purpose of this aid is the promotion of the cultural life of the municipality of Castro-Urdiales, supporting cultural projects proposed by non-profit associations and groups. For this, two lines of subsidies are granted: Ordinary subsidies: intended to support the activities that the associations carry out in the municipality, within their ordinary cultural project and the operation and maintenance of the associations themselves. Extraordinary subsidies: intended to support the extraordinary activities, projects and initiatives that the associations develop within the municipality with the participation of guests and foreign groups. Third Regulatory Bases Ordinance approved by plenary session on March 28, 2017 and published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 156 dated August 14, 2017, modified by the Plenary Session of the Castro Urdiales City Council on July 25, 2023 and published in the BOC 199 dated October 17, 2023 and modified by the Plenary Session of the Castro Urdiales City Council. Castro-Urdiales on June 25, 2024 and published in BOC 132 dated July 9, 2024. Fourth. Amount Authorize an expense for a global amount of €60,000 to finance the aid, charged to item 04-334-48900, of the 2025 budget, of the Castro Urdiales City Council. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications and corresponding documentation will be fifteen business days, counting from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Cantabria. Sixth. Other information The documentation accompanying the application must be the following: a) Report of the activities carried out in the previous year. b) Project dated and signed by the applicant, which includes: — Name or title of the project. — Project summary. — Objectives pursued. — Activities to be carried out and duration. — Organization (how and who will organize the activities). — Place and dates of the activity/s. — Total project budget, specifying expected income and expenses, broken down by concepts and specifying the requested concepts. Expenses for fuel, meals, dinners and similar hospitality services, as well as accommodation expenses, are expressly excluded, unless they are directly related to the cultural project presented and it includes such expenses. c) Certification of being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations or responsible declaration in the event that the beneficiary is not required to submit tax returns or register in the Social Security contribution system. d) Personal data of the applicant and the banking entity to which the amount of the subsidy that may be granted must be transferred, in accordance with the third-party file model of the Castro-Urdiales City Council, provided that it is not already in the possession of the administration.
