Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. 1. Owners of cattle and/or equine farms, whether natural or legal persons, including Cooperative Societies and Agrarian Transformation Societies, located in Cantabria, and registered in the Official Registry of Livestock Farms (REGA), that maintain any of the threatened local breeds of the bovine and equine species in Cantabria, may benefit from the aid. 2. In addition, they must be farms that comply with the legal regulations in force regarding the environment, animal welfare and health, and animal identification and registration. Therefore, they may not have been subject to a firm sanction, with serious or very serious misconduct, for non-compliance with the aforementioned regulations, in the year prior to the date of submission of the application. Second. Object. Call, under a competitive competition regime, for the year 2026, aid to encourage baiting and slaughter practices associated with the quality of male calves and foals of threatened local breeds on farms in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, registered in the Individual Animal Identification Registry (RIIA) as belonging to said breeds or morphotypes. Third. Regulatory bases. Order DES/14/2025 of April 2 (BOC NUM 69, of April 9, 2025), which regulates the bases of a de minimis aid regime to stimulate the fattening of male calves and foals of threatened local breeds in Cantabria. Room. Amount. 1. The maximum total amount of the aid that is called amounts to TWO HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND EUROS (€210,000) for the year 2026, which will be financed from budget item 05.04.412B.475, of the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria for the year 2025, extended for the year 2026. 2. Aid will be granted per eligible animal and year. Eligible animals will be slaughtered male cattle with a minimum age of 7 months and 110 kg/carcass of the indicated breeds or morphotypes. The maximum slaughter age, for eligibility purposes, will be 16 months for cattle. In the case of equine livestock, they will be granted per eligible animal and year. Eligible animals will be male horses with a minimum age of 10 months and a slaughter weight of 90 kg/carcass of the indicated breeds or morphotypes. The maximum slaughter age for eligibility purposes will be 18 months. 3. Notwithstanding the above, if the animals have left the holding at birth, they may maintain eligibility for aid if they have remained on the applicant's holding for a minimum period of three months before slaughter. The control of permanence on the farm of the subsidized animals will be done through computer cross-checking with the SITRAN database. 4. The criteria for quantifying this aid will be the following: — 300 euros for each eligible calf or foal up to the first five animals slaughtered. — 250 euros for each eligible calf or foal from the sixth to the fifteenth animal slaughtered. — 200 euros for each eligible calf or foal from the sixteenth to the twenty-fifth animal slaughtered. 5. The maximum aid per applicant will not exceed, in any case, the amount of 6,000 euros per year. 6. To be entitled to the subsidy, the basic data of the animals entitled to the premium must coincide, at the time of requesting the aid, with the information that exists in the database of the Identification and Official Registry System. 7. The aid referred to in the Resolution will be compatible with any other aid or subsidy intended for the same purposes, coming from any other Administration or public or private entity, national, European Union or international organization. Fifth. Application submission deadline. 1. Applications will be addressed to the General Directorate of Livestock, signed by the corresponding applicant or, where appropriate, by their legal representative. They will be presented in the Registry of the Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food (C/ Albert Einstein, nº 2, Santander), in the Regional Offices of this Ministry or in any of the places established in article 134.8 of the Law of Cantabria 5/2018, of November 22, on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of the Community Autonomous Region of Cantabria 2.
