Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database. (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/index): First. Beneficiaries. Any artist, of Spanish or foreign nationality, of legal age and resident in Spain, may participate in this call, provided that they do not hold the status of public employee of the Madrid City Council nor are they a member of the jury. Second. Object. Create a creative dynamic among authors, value young talents and recognize the work done by new painters, while promoting and encouraging pictorial creation among citizens. Third. Regulatory bases. The provisions for educational, cultural, scientific or any other nature awards subject to publicity and competition will apply to this call, in the first additional provision of the Ordinance of General Regulatory Bases for the Granting of Subsidies by the City Council of Madrid and its Public Bodies, of October 30, 2013, modified by agreement of the plenary session of May 31, 2017. Failing this, it will be regulated by the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance, in the Law. 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies and in Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the regulations of the aforementioned law, except in those aspects in which due to the special nature of these subsidies it is not applicable. Room. Amount. Three prizes will be awarded with the following amounts: - First prize: 5,000 euros. - Second prize: 4,000 euros. - Third prize: 2,000 euros. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be fifteen business days from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. Sixth. Other data. Both the topic and the technique to be used will be of free choice, and must meet the condition of not having been awarded in any other contest or disseminated in specialized publications, regardless of the format (print or digital). Each author may submit a single work with a maximum size of 1.80 m and a minimum size of 0.50 m, both on either side. The inclusion in the works of offensive content that hurts sensitivity or incites discriminatory or violent behavior will not be admitted, with the organization reserving the right to exclude participants who, in its opinion, do not comply with the conditions required in the contest. The works will be presented indicating the author's pseudonym on the back. Works signed on the front will not be accepted. They will be presented on a rigid frame or support, or framed with a wooden strip, without glass, with a width of no more than 3 cm. The verticality of the work will also be indicated on the back of the work. In addition, a closed envelope (escrow) will be accompanied, indicating the pseudonym on the outside. Inside, the following information will be provided: - Name and surname of the author. - Complete postal address. - Contact telephone number. - Email. - Brief resume. The absence of data or its inaccuracy may lead, where appropriate, to the exclusion of the work from this contest.
