Official description of the call

First.- Recipients Educational centers supported with public funds for early childhood, primary and secondary education, as well as special education and the AMPA/AFA associations of mothers, fathers and families, AMPA/AFA coordinators, school sports associations, non-profit school sports sections and foundations linked to the aforementioned educational centers in the city of Girona can apply to participate in the subsidy. In order to be beneficiaries of the subsidy, the applicant entities will have to meet the following requirements: Be legally constituted. Develop school sports activity in the municipality of Girona. Be registered in the Municipal Registry of Entities of the Girona City Council and in the Registry of Sports Entities of the Catalan Sports Council of the Generalitat of Catalonia, unless the request is made by the same school center. There can only be one application per school center, either from the school or from the AMPA/AFA or corresponding sports association. This request may not exceed 4 groups of sports activities. In the event that there is an AMPA/AFA coordinator, an association that brings together several schools (formally constituted), the number of groups requested will be limited depending on the schools it represents. (example: if you represent 4 schools, you can request 16 groups). School centers represented within the framework of an AMPA/AFA coordinator will not be able to submit an individual application outside of the application of the AMPA/AFA coordinator. The beneficiaries of the subsidy must have any other subsidy granted by the City Council justified, if so determined by the dates of the corresponding call. Entities will have to be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations. They will prove that they are up to date with the payment of their tax and Social Security obligations either by signing a declaration responsible for being up to date, or by providing the certificates issued by the corresponding administrations (State Agency for Tax Administration and Social Security Treasury), in the event that the subsidy is greater than €3,000. And, in any case, authorizing the consultation and verification through the platforms enabled by the different public administrations, of the available data if it is not accredited and is essential for the resolution of the procedure. Second.- Purpose This call aims to establish the criteria for the granting of a subsidy to schools, associations, entities and foundations, for the development of their sports activities outside of school hours (extracurricular hours) in the facilities of school centers in the city of Girona, during the 2023-2024 academic year, to promote school sports and fundamentally favor the introduction to sports as a means to improve comprehensive education. (In exceptional and duly justified cases, it will be accepted that this activity does not take place in the school facilities). This subsidy is included within the strategic subsidy plan 2024-2026, strategic line "Sports", program "Activities and support for entities", within the area of ​​People's Rights. Program B.
