Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries The requirements that must be met by those who wish to participate in the call are defined according to the different categories: a) Category 1. Companies that develop "good business practices" aimed at achieving and promoting responsible consumption in the city of Madrid may participate. They must have an action project in which the lines of action in this sense are defined, equipped with an evaluation procedure that allows their implementation to be assessed. b) Category 2. Associations of consumers, people with disabilities and other entities, located or with scope of action in the city of Madrid, that carry out informative actions or adapt spaces in order to improve accessibility for consumers with cognitive disabilities may attend. They must have an action project in which the lines of action in this sense are defined, equipped with an evaluation procedure that allows their implementation to be assessed. Commonly for categories 1 and 2, those projects that are not developed or do not have a direct impact on the city of Madrid will be excluded from the call without the possibility of rectification in the terms provided in article 68.1 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations (hereinafter, LPAC). Likewise, in accordance with the provisions of article 15 and the first additional provision of the Ordinance of General Regulatory Bases for the granting of Subsidies by the Madrid City Council and its Public Bodies, in both cases it will be necessary that the participating entities are not subject to any of the causes of prohibition to access the status of beneficiary established in sections 2 and 3 of article 13 Law 38/2003 of November 17, General of Subsidies. Those entities that are not up to date with the payment of their tax obligations and their Social Security contributions, as well as their tax obligations with the Madrid City Council itself, will not be able to access the status of beneficiaries of these awards. Likewise, they must be up to date with the payment of obligations for reimbursement of subsidies with the State, with the Community of Madrid and with the Madrid City Council, and undertake to communicate at any time the existence of debts for reimbursement of subsidies. If they have received them, they must have presented within the established period the justifications for other subsidies previously received in calls from the Madrid City Council. The requirements must be met in all cases by the end date of the application submission period. c) Category 3. Schoolchildren who are enrolled in any public, subsidized or private center, located in the city of Madrid, may attend any Secondary Education or Basic Vocational Training course. The theme will be "My rights as a consumer." If they are minors, the presentation will be made by the father, mother or legal guardian of the participant. Second. Object. The aim is to reward those who stand out for their work in favor of responsible consumption and the defense of consumers, with special attention to vulnerable sectors, in the City of Madrid. And for this, three categories are established: a) Category 1: business actions that have contributed to the training and protection of consumers, in favor of responsible consumption. b) Category 2: actions developed aimed at facilitating the accessibility and inclusion of people with cognitive disabilities, in the knowledge and enjoyment of their rights as consumers. c) Category 3: best youth story on education in responsible consumption and consumer rights. The theme will be "My rights as a consumer." Third. Regulatory bases. The regulatory bases have been approved by Decree of December 16, 2024 of the Delegate of the Government Area of Economy, Innovation and Finance, and are published in the OFFICIAL BULLETIN OF THE MADRID CITY COUNCIL on the same date as the publication of this extract in the OFFICIAL BULLETIN OF THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID.
