Aid to the Organization of Scientific-Technical Congresses and Meetings of the Seneca Foundation-Science and Technology Agency of the Region of Murcia

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. This call is aimed at doctoral researchers linked to a university or public or private non-profit research center located in the Region of Murcia, and provides for two modalities: Modality A. National scientific-technical conference or meeting. Modality B. International scientific-technical conference or meeting. Second. Object and purposes. These grants are intended to promote scientific exchange, updating and dissemination of knowledge among the scientific community by granting grants for the organization of congresses or meetings of high scientific-technical quality, preferably of an international nature, which are based in the Region of Murcia. Among the purposes of this aid are the following: Promote scientific, technological and innovation culture and improve the communication of the original results obtained. Participation of research groups from the Region in specialized international knowledge communities. Positioning of the Region as a point of attraction for high-level scientific events. Third. Regulatory bases. Order of the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business, of March 28, 2018 (BORM no. 84 dated April 13, 2018), modified by Order of May 13, 2019 (BORM no. 110 of May 15, 2019) and by Order of June 29, 2022 (BORM no. 151 of 2 July 2022). Room. Amount. The amount of funding may not exceed €1,500 for national conferences and €2,500 for international conferences. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications to this call will be open from the date of publication of the call in the BDNS until 2:00 p.m. on July 10, 2025. Sixth. Requirements. Researchers who, at the time of submission of the application, meet the following requirements may apply for the aid provided for in this call: At the time of submission of the application, they have a doctorate degree and a full-time statutory or contractual relationship, with exclusive dedication and in a situation of active service, with a university or public or private non-profit research center located in the Region of Murcia. Be director or member of the organizing committee of the scientific-technical congress or meeting whose financing is requested. Requirements that the congress or scientific-technical meeting must meet. The grants object of this call will finance the organization of high-level national or international scientific-technical conferences or meetings that meet at least the following requirements: Have a program of high scientific-technical quality and with the intervention of researchers and experts of recognized prestige in the area of ​​knowledge. Have a Scientific Committee for the selection of presentations or communications, which mostly intervenes effectively in the congress or scientific-technical meeting. This committee must have international experts of recognized prestige. Celebrated in the Region of Murcia. Be developed in the period between June 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026. Have the approval of the university or research center to which the applicant is attached, which will assume the main responsibility for its organization, on its own or in collaboration with other entities or organizations. Include dissemination or communication activities of the congress and its results to society. The following will not be financed under this call: The organization of congresses, conferences or meetings of a professional or corporate nature, which are not face-to-face nor, in general, which are not of a strictly scientific-technical nature. The organization of meetings aimed at the preparation or coordination of projects. The organization of courses, seminars, conference cycles and other activities whose nature is mainly educational, such as training sessions, workshops and teacher training seminars, meetings related to doctoral, master's and/or postgraduate programs, as well as continuing training activities not directly linked to the field of scientific-technical research.
