Agreement of the Local Government Board of 11-14-2025, by which the regulatory bases that must govern the III Holy Week Poster Contest of Alcalá de Henares of 2026 are approved.

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: Any natural/legal person of legal age may participate in the contest; participants over 16 years of age who have the corresponding express authorization from their legal guardian along with a copy of the identity document of both (participant and authorizer) will also be admitted. Second. Purpose: The Department of Popular Festivals and Traditions is intended for the management and organization of all social festivities. Its main function is to guarantee their correct development, as well as to encourage citizen participation in these festive events. Holy Week in Alcala is declared a festival of National Tourist Interest and the purpose of this call is to encourage the participation of Alcala residents and reward the creation of the promotional poster for said festival. Third. Regulatory Bases: Agreement of the Local Government Board of November 14, 2025, published on the website www.aytoalcaladehenares.es Fourth. Amount: A single Prize is established with a prize of 1,000 euros. The financial prizes will be subject to tax withholdings in accordance with current legislation. The jury may declare the competition void if, in its opinion, the works presented do not offer minimum quality. Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications: The deadline for admission of works begins from the publication of the bases on the website of the Excmo. Alcalá de Henares City Council and ends on December 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Sixth. Other information: The works must be unpublished. The theme must necessarily reflect scenes or images of Holy Week in Alcalá de Henares, taking into account everything that is part of the religiosity of the Passion in Alcalá de Henares. Participants may submit up to a maximum of three works. Any artistic technique will be used, whether photography, painting or any other discipline of graphic expression. There is no limit on the use of colors or methods except for fluorescent colors which cannot be used. The works will be presented on 5 mm thick foam without any type of additional framing. The layout of the work is free, while its size must be 50X70 cm in vertical orientation, and the proportion of the work with respect to these dimensions must be maintained in the electronic format. Participants must submit JPEG or TIFF files of the proposed posters on magnetic media (CD, DVD, USB flash drive), with a digital resolution of 300 pp. All works must contain the legend data included in point 7 of the rules, as well as a motto or title in addition to a sealed envelope in which the data specified in point 9 will be included. The evaluation criteria that the jury will take into account when awarding the award will be the originality, artistic quality of the works and the attractiveness of the works presented. The jury will meet between December 16 and 20, 2025 and will open all the proposed works presented. The jury's decision will be made public after the opening of the submitted works. The winning work will remain in the possession of the Hon. Alcalá de Henares City Council who may use it as they deem appropriate, reserving the right to reproduce it in the media or formats deemed appropriate. The Hon. Alcalá de Henares City Council reserves the right to reproduce in the media or hold exhibitions of all the works presented.
