The 38th edition of the short film script competition included in the Quartmetratges 2026 Festival

Official description of the call

1.PARTICIPANTS.All people born or residing in the Valencian Community may participate, with a maximum of two (2) works. 2.REQUIREMENTS OF THE WORKS.The theme of the scripts will be free, they will not have been presented in previous editions of this contest, nor have they been used in any previous production. (Only the literary script will be valued). Only by participating in this contest, the authors acknowledge that they are in possession of the copyright, and therefore have the copyright. 3. PRESENTATION OF THE WORKS. The works may be presented from June 1 to June 30, 2026, through the following means: a) In person: At the General Registry of the Quart de Poblet City Council. The documentation will be attached on a USB memory stick. b) Telematically: Through the Electronic Headquarters of the Quart de Poblet City Council: https://quartdepoblet.sedipualba.es/ Along with the General Instance, the following documentation will be accompanied, which in the case of presentation in person will be attached on a USB memory: - copy of the script in PDF format, without any identification of authorship and with the title on the cover, clearly identifiable and clearly visible. - photocopy of the certificate of registration of the script in the Intellectual Property Registry or in other registries with legal validity such as Safe Creative. 4. SELECTION. The jury will be made up of the mayor of the town, as president, or the member of the municipal corporation to whom she delegates and three specialists in the matter. The jury's verdict will be final. 5. PRIZES. Prize for the best script in Spanish: €1,100 Prize for the best script in Valencian: €1,100 The winning scripts will be edited by the Quart de Poblet City Council. The prizes will be subject to the corresponding income tax withholdings. 6. PRIZE DELIVERY. The awards ceremony will take place on October 25, 2026 at the closing gala and awards ceremony of the Festival. All participating people will be sent the program. 7. OBSERVATIONS. Any circumstance or incident not foreseen in the rules will be resolved by the jury. Participating in this contest implies acceptance of the rules. Consult complete Rules at: https://quartdepoblet.sedipualba.es/tablondeanuncios/anuncio.aspx?id=52573 APPLICABLE LEGISLATION This contest is governed by the provisions of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, by which the Regulations of the General Law of Subsidies and what the bases for the execution of the budget of the Quart de Poblet City Council provide. RDL 1/1996, of April 12, which approves the Revised Text of the Intellectual Property Law, is also applicable. People who are subject to any of the causes of prohibition to receive subsidies included in article 13 of the General Subsidies Law will not be able to participate. The participants' data will be collected and processed in accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights.
