Subsidies to town councils in the province of Palencia for maintenance costs of early childhood and primary schools

First.-Beneficiaries All city councils of municipalities in the province of Palencia with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants in whose municipal area, including their neighborhood councils, a second-cycle and primary preschool is located, may apply for this aid. Second.- Purpose The purpose of this call is to grant aid to municipalities in the province of Palencia for general maintenance expenses of second cycle and primary early childhood education schools, which are their property, and which are incurred during the 2023/2024 academic year. Third.- Eligible expenses Current expenses that undoubtedly respond to the nature of the subsidized activity and have been carried out during the 2023/2024 academic year, in the period between September 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024. Eligible expenses will be those related to: - Heating - Energy and water consumption - Conservation and repair of machinery, installation and center tooling. - Acquisition of educational consumables. - Acquisition of consumable cleaning materials Expenses corresponding to: - All types of works - Acquisition of inventory material - Hiring of personnel - Protocol attention - All types of trips or meals are excluded. Fourth.- Amount The total amount of the subsidies amounts to €300,000, of which €120,000 will be applied to the 2023 financial year and €180,000 to the 2024 financial year. A subsidy will be granted to all applicants who meet the requirements of the call, with the amount determined by the following scale: a) €3,000 to all applicants. b) €400 for each classroom in the center dedicated to teaching throughout the 2022/2023 academic year. c) €20 for each student enrolled in the center during the 2022/2023 academic year. The report issued by the Provincial Directorate of Education with the number of enrolled students and units dedicated to teaching of each center in the province in the 2022/2023 academic year will be taken as a reference. If, when applying said scale, the total subsidies exceed the budget allocation established in base 2, they will be reduced by the amount resulting from proportionally prorating the exceeded amount. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province, extending said deadline until the first following business day, when the last day is a Saturday or holiday. Sixth.- The annexes and other documentation corresponding to this call will be available to interested parties at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Palencia https://sede.diputaciondepalencia.es
