Resolution, of November 28, 2023, of the Magnificent Rector of the Rey Juan Carlos University by which the regulatory bases of the I Essay Contest “How to face Artificial Intelligence from Humanism?” BDNS: 730391 In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.....): First. Beneficiaries: Any member of the university community of the Rey Juan Carlos University may participate, a condition that must be able to prove if required. Second. Theme. The Rey Juan Carlos University invites its entire community to critically analyze this technological phenomenon of Artificial Intelligence with implications in all areas of life, through essays that channel an original personal reflection. Third. Regulatory bases. The call is regulated by the rules published on the electronic notice board of the Rey Juan Carlos University. https://sede.urjc.es/tablon-oficial Fourth. Amount. A first prize of 200 euros for the winning essay, honorary diploma and publication. For the 4 finalists or second prize: honorary diploma and publication. These awards will be allocated to budget item 30.VC.CD.CU, Economic 483.00 (Scholarships, training and others) Program 423B, of the expense budget of the Vice-Rectorate of Campus Community, Culture and Sports corresponding to the year 2024, as it is a call for early processing. This amount will be subject to current legislation on tax matters, and the legally established personal income tax withholdings will be applied to said amount. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting the proposed works will be 30 days following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. Sixth. Presentation location. Applications will be addressed to the Vice-Rectorate of Campus Community, Culture and Sports, Rey Juan Carlos University, Rectorate Building, 6th Floor (office 604) Calle Tulipán s/n 28933 Móstoles. These requests will be submitted through the registry of the Rey Juan Carlos University or by any of the different means indicated in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015 of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
