REGULATORY BASES OF THE 2024 CARNIVAL AWARDS 1.- Purpose of the call Regulation of the awards for the 2024 carnival 2.- Budgetary credit A maximum credit of €3,225.00 will be allocated to application 338.226.09 of the 2024 expense budget, for the awards to the participants in the parade. Carnival, distributed as follows: INDIVIDUAL 1st Prize...... 80.00 euros 2nd Prize...... 55.00 euros 3rd Prize...... 40.00 euros COUPLES 1st Prize...... 110.00 euros 2nd Prize...... 80.00 euros 3rd Prize...... 55.00 euros GROUPS 1st Prize...... 180.00 euros 2nd Prize...... 125.00 euros 3rd Prize................. 100.00 euros COMPARSAS 1st Prize.................. 300.00 euros 2nd Prize.................. 275.00 euros 3rd Prize.................. 225.00 euros SPECIAL PRIZE........ 100.00 euros CITY COUNCIL COMPARSAS PRIZE..................150.00 euros/comparsa 3.- Participants The participants They will be part of a parade that will leave from the back of the Multipurpose Building and will travel through the streets of Santa Lucía. They must be in the starting position before 5:00 p.m. Participants may register in the following categories: a) Individual b) Couple: the grouping of two masks. c) Group: grouping of between 3 and 9 masks. e) Comparsa: group of 10 or more masks. The troupes that are made up of 15 or more members registered in the Moraña City Council will receive an aid of 150 euros just for participating. All participants in the parade are eligible for the special prize. This prize will be awarded to the nicest costume. 4.- Procedure. To participate in the carnival parade, you must request registration at the Public Library, or through the electronic headquarters of the Moraña City Council. The deadline for submitting applications for all participants in the parade to qualify for a prize will be from January 25 to February 8, 2024. At the time of formalizing the registration, the following will be stated: - Name of the troupe, group, couple or individual and the modality in which it participates. - Number of members, in the case of groups or troupes. - Name and surname, ID, address and telephone number of the representative. - In the case of the Moraña Comparsas, list of the members registered in the City Council. At the time of the awards ceremony, the jury will require the winners to provide identification. If you are a minor, your legal representative must identify yourself. On the day of the parade, proof of the prize will be delivered, which will have to be sent fully covered to the City Council, to proceed with payment by bank transfer. The name of the winner must match the details of one of the bank account holders. The delivery of the awards receipts to the town hall must be done within 20 calendar days, counting from the day of the parade. Failure to comply with this deadline will mean that said prize will be waived. 5.- Jury The jury will be made up of the members of the Culture Commission and representatives of four associations registered with the Moraña City Council. It will be located on Rúa 5 of Santa Lucía. The jury's decision will be final. Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules. 6.- Exceptional circumstances In the event that adverse weather conditions do not allow the parade to be held, the organizing entity reserves the following assumptions: - Move the parade to Rúa 7 de Santa Lucía (Sports Pavilion). - Move the parade to Sunday, February 25. - Suspend the parade. 7.- Advertising. The rules will be published on the Notice Board of the Electronic Headquarters of the Moraña City Council, in the BOP for the purposes of publishing the call in the Database of the National Subsidy Advertising System, and on the City Council's website.
