EDICT It is made public that, on January 19, 2024, the Mayor's Office-Presidency has issued Resolution number 2024-0186, which approves the call and Regulatory Bases of the XVII EDITION NARRATIVE CONTEST PATRON HOLIDAYS BONFIRES VILLA DE SANT JOAN D'ALACANT (partially modified by Resolution of the Mayor's Office-Presidency number 2024/0224 dated January 23, 2024). RULES XVII EDITION NARRATIVE CONTEST PATRON'S FESTIVALS BONFIRES VILLA DE SANT JOAN D'ALACANT FIRST. -OBJECT. The object of these rules is the regulation of the 17th edition of the Fiestas Patronales Hogueras Villa de Sant Joan d'Alacant narrative contest, convened by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Sant Joan d'Alacant, with the collaboration of the Patronal Festivities Hogueras Villa de Sant Joan d'Alacant Association, with the aim of promoting culture, and more specifically, to encourage literary creativity. SECOND. -STAKE. Natural persons with Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain can apply. Only students from 5th-6th grade of primary school and 1st grade of ESO from the Municipality's Educational Centers will be eligible for the “Ninot Carrefour Prize”. Those who are involved in any of the causes of prohibition to obtain the status of beneficiaries established in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies -LGS- will not be able to participate. The winners of previous editions will not be able to present themselves, except for the “Premio Ninot Carrefour” award. THIRD. –CHARACTERISTICS OF LITERARY WORKS Story genre. Each participant may present a maximum of two works. All works will be original and unpublished, that have not been published on the Internet or in any other medium, copies or writings awarded or selected in any other contest will not be admitted. They will be written in Spanish or Valencian language. Free theme. The works presented by boys and girls must add the legend “Ninot Carrefour Prize” next to the title of the work. Format: Its length will be a maximum of four pages on one side, in Arial font, size 12 pts., and with line spacing of 1.5. All works that do not comply with this point will be excluded. No work presented may be signed by the participant, nor bear a distinctive mark that could facilitate the recognition of the author by the jury. If this point is not met, the work will be excluded. QUARTER. -REGISTRATION AND PRESENTATION FORM. To participate in the call it is essential to complete the registration form. The registration forms will be addressed to the Mayor-President of the Sant Joan d'Alacant City Council, according to the model attached to these bases. In said application, the will to participate in the contest will be expressed, and will declare under its responsibility, that it is not subject to any of the prohibition circumstances to obtain the status of beneficiary of aid or subsidy, provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, and that it is up to date in compliance with its tax obligations with this City Council. In the case of minors receiving prizes, this responsible declaration will be made by their legal representatives. Method of delivery of the work: The works cannot be signed with the name of the participant. A pseudonym or motto may be used as a signature, which will be repeated on the outside of the envelope or file 1. To facilitate the dynamics and so that the presentation does not entail a cost for the participants, the presentation of the works may be done: - By postal mail or in person, in triplicate, at Archivo·Biblioteca Amelia Asensi Bevià, located at Avenida la Rambla de la Libertad, 22, Sant Joan d'Alacant 03550 during business hours 9-13:30, Monday to Friday, with the title of the work and the legend XVI Narrative Contest. -By email to: narrativefoguerasantjoan@gmail.com indicating in the subject “XVII Narrative Contest” and the title of the work. The file must be in pdf format with the title and WITHOUT the author's name and another attached file with the author's personal information and name of the work as indicated in the following paragraph.
