Call and bases that govern the granting of individual, temporary, and social emergency aid from the Es Mercadal City Council for the year 2024

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: 1. Those people who: a) Are registered in the municipality of Es Mercadal can participate in this call. b) They are over 18 years of age, or minors with family responsibilities. c) They do not have income to attend to the situation of need or emergency. d) They are not subject to the circumstances that determine the impossibility of obtaining the status of beneficiary of the public subsidies included in sections a), d), f), g), h) article 13.2 of the LGS. e) They are not subject to the circumstances that determine the impossibility of obtaining the status of beneficiary of the public subsidies included in article 13.3 of the LGS. 2. The shortage of economic income of the beneficiaries will be evaluated according to the following criteria: a) If the cohabitation unit is made up of a single member, the income cannot exceed 150% of the IPREM. For the year 2024, this amount is set at 900.00 euros per month (€1,050 with the two extra payments prorated) and a total of €12,600 per year. b) For family units with more members, it will increase by 30% for the second member, by 20% for the third and by 10% from the fourth member, resulting in the amounts shown in the following table: Components of the family nucleus Value Monthly amount (prorated extra payments) Annual amount (14 payments) 1 member 150% IPREM €1,050.00 €12,600.00 2 members 30% increase €1,365.00 €16,380.00 3 members 20% increase €1,638.00 €19,656.00 4 members 10% increase €1,801.80 €21,621.60 5 members 10% increase €1,981.98 €23,783.76 6 members 10% increase €2,180.18 €26,162.14 7 members 10% increase €2,398.20 €28,778.35 c) To calculate the economic income of the cohabitation unit, the average of the income obtained in the last six months prior to the date of the application will be taken. d) Exceptionally, if any of the above requirements are not met but the social work unit considers the situation of need justified, aid may be granted. There will be special consideration in cases of requests for social emergencies or for socio-health reasons in which the need to carry out an important and essential investment exceeds the economic capacity of the applicant. In any case, exceptions must be duly justified with the technical and/or medical reports that correspond in each case. 3. In the case of the existence of savings in the cohabitation unit, the savings cannot exceed 100% of the IPREM, that is, €8,400. Second. Purpose: The granting of individual, temporary and social emergency aid from the Es Mercadal City Council for the year 2024 Third. Regulatory bases: The bases of the call and the General Ordinance regulating the granting of subsidies, initially approved by the Plenary Session of the Es Mercadal City Council on October 11, 2005 and published the final approval and the full text in BOIB no. 189, of December 17, 2005. Fourth. Amount: The maximum amounts of aid and the conditions for granting it are established in the fifth base of the call. The aid will be provided under budget application 30.2310.48200 of the 2024 General Budget, with a maximum joint amount of 30,000.00 euros. In the event that a subsidy is received for this concept and the City Council contributes more funds, this limit may be extended, following publication in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands. Fifth. Application submission deadline: Until December 7, 2024.
