* * * In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3, letter b) and 20.8, * letter a), of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of * Subsidies, the extract of the calls is published, the full text of which * can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database * (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/es/index). * * First: Object. * Promote the contracting of combined agricultural insurance as a means for * the Canarian farmer and rancher to become as independent as possible from the * damages caused by the frequent variations of natural * agents, helping to maintain agricultural income. * * Second: Beneficiaries. * Applicants who * comply with the provisions of Article 2 of Decree 235/1998, of * December 18, which establishes the subsidy regime of the * Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands in the field of * combined agricultural insurance and hold the status of small and * medium-sized production company (SME), as defined in Annex I of the * Regulation (EU), will be eligible for the subsidies that are called. 2022/2472 of December 14, 2022, which * declares certain categories of aid in the agricultural and * forestry sectors and in rural areas compatible with the internal market in * application of articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the * European Union, or are cooperative societies whatever their * size, and that subscribe to some of the following policies: * * a) Those provided for in the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of December 27, 2023, which approves the Forty-Fifth Combined Agrarian Insurance Plan, published by Resolution of the * Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, dated December 27, 2023 (BOE No. 311, of 12.29.2023), as well as, * those provided for in the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of November 29, * 2022, which approves the Forty-Fourth Combined Agricultural * Insurance Plan, published by Resolution of the Undersecretariat of the * Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, dated November 30, 2022 (BOE No. 295, of 12/9/2022), which had not * been paid because they belonged to the agricultural year 2023-2024, and which are * applicable in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. * b) The provisional settlements presented by the * insurance entity Agroseguro, S.A. relating to policies subscribed under * the provisions of the Orders calling for combined agricultural * insurance subsidies from previous years. * * Third: Regulatory bases. * Decree 235/1998, of December 18, which establishes the * regime of subsidies of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of * the Canary Islands in matters of combined agricultural insurance (BOC no. 14, of * 1.02.1999). * * Fourth: Amount. * 1. The amount of the subsidies will be the following: * - Insurance for the removal and destruction of animals killed on the * farm (cattle and other species), also in its * renewable options, 90% of the net base commercial premium of the insurance. * - Rest of livestock insurance 40% of the net base commercial premium of the * insurance. * - Marine aquaculture insurance; 18% on the net base commercial premium* of the insurance. * - Insurance with increasing coverage for banana farms, 25% * on the net base commercial premium of the insurance. * - Insurance with increasing coverage for tomato farms in the * C.A. of the Canary Islands, 25% of the net base commercial insurance premium. * - Insurance for tropical and subtropical production farms * for avocado crops whose producers are associated in * a Producer Organization, 60% of the net base commercial premium * of the insurance. * - Insurance for tropical and subtropical production farms, * for cherimoya, prickly pear, lychee, mango, papaya, date palm * and tropical pineapple crops, 45% of the net base commercial premium of the * insurance. * - Rest of agricultural insurance, 50% of the net base commercial premium of the * insurance. * * Notwithstanding the above, the amount of subsidies granted by * Public Administrations may not exceed the following * percentages established as limits in the European Union Guidelines * applicable to state aid in the agricultural and * forestry sectors and in rural areas (2022/C485/01), and in Commission Regulation (EU) * 2022/2473, of December 14, 2022,
