Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Those who own tourism services companies in the restaurant, hospitality, commerce and leisure sectors that carry out their activity on the island of Menorca are eligible for aid. Groups or associations of service companies in the aforementioned branches and conditions may also be eligible for this aid. This call is open to natural or legal persons or groups of natural or legal persons who are owners of companies or commercial or tourist establishments and present projects that meet the objectives, purposes and requirements of the BGreenMenorca project, as set out in the rules of the call. The beneficiaries will have to be up to date with their tax obligations, with Social Security and with the Island Council of Menorca. Second. Objective The main objective is to help achieve one of the specific objectives of the Menorca Biosphere Reserve Action Plan, to promote a more conscious and responsible tourism model towards maintaining the values of the biosphere reserve. For this reason, we want to support commercial companies and the tourism sector to carry out actions to conserve, improve and restore the natural heritage of Menorca. Third. Regulatory bases The call will be governed by the regulatory bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca, in an ordinary session on November 25, 2024. Fourth. Amount The maximum global amount of the call is €650,000 (six hundred and fifty thousand euros), with the following breakdown: Line 1: Outdoor lighting €130,000.00 Line 2: Sustainable waste management €130,000.00 Line 3: Sustainable green areas and biomass management €130,000.00 Line 4: Water efficiency €130,000.00 Line 5: Energy efficiency €130,000.00 TOTAL €650,000.00 Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications to qualify for the call begins the day after the call is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands and ends on February 10, 2025 without the possibility of being extended. Sixth. Other information The maximum eligible amount is 75% of the total cost of the action for which the subsidy is requested, with a maximum of €15,000 for each of the actions requested. Actions started from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 will be subsidized.
