Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries Non-profit cultural associations, legally constituted and registered in the Registry of associations of the Balearic Islands, religious entities, legally constituted and registered in the Registry of religious entities of the Ministry of Justice (only when they organize activities of a cultural nature), foundations, legally constituted and registered in the Single Registry of foundations of the Balearic Islands (only when they organize activities of a cultural nature), can benefit from this call for aid. cultural) and neighborhood associations (only when they organize activities of a cultural nature), whose scope of action is the island of Menorca. Associations, religious entities and foundations whose scope of action is the Balearic Islands can also participate, provided that the cultural activity being subsidized is carried out in Menorca. In any case, the following are excluded from this call as beneficiaries: a) Sports entities. b) Educational entities, educational centers and student family associations. c) Youth entities or entities that promote activities for youth. d) Associations of older people or groups linked to them. e) Folklore groups. f) Entities that obtain other aid from the annual budget of program 33400, for cultural creation and promotion of the Island Council of Menorca. Direct requests from sections that are part of religious entities, foundations or broader cultural associations are also excluded. Second. Purpose The purpose of the aid is to promote and support the implementation of cultural projects developed in Menorca by the island's cultural entities. Cultural projects or activities are considered those related to: a) Cinematography, audiovisual arts and multimedia arts. b) Music and performing arts (theater, dance, etc.). c) The visual arts: plastic arts or fine arts, photography and design. d) The book and reading. e) Any other project or activity that, in the opinion of the evaluation committee, has a cultural nature. Third. Regulatory bases This call is governed by the bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca in an ordinary session on 05/26/2025. Room. Amount The maximum global amount of the call is €320,000 (three hundred and twenty thousand euros). Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications to qualify for this aid will be 30 calendar days from the day following its publication in the BOIB. Sixth. Other data. The percentage of the subsidy on the final expense of the activity or project will be, at most, 60%. Likewise, no total grant awarded to an entity may exceed 20% of the total budget of the call. Thus, the amount of the subsidy may in no case exceed 64,000 euros.
