Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Essays on the popular dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge written in Valencian, or in any other variety of this language, or in Spanish, English or French, are eligible for this award. Second. Purpose: To reward the best work submitted to this contest with the aim of promoting the creation and dissemination of works that make scientific and technical advances and also the dissemination of interesting aspects of the different branches of knowledge available to the general public and pre-university students in particular. Third. Regulatory bases: The bases for the call for this award will be published at https://links.uv.es/my7MEla Cuarto. Amount: The amount of the Estudi General Prize is €12,000.00, which will be understood as payment of the copyright of the first 2,000 copies in Valencian and, if applicable, of the first 2,000 copies in Spanish that are sold, and the legally established withholdings will be applied. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will begin the day following the day of publication in the DOCV and will end on September 15, 2026. Once the deadline for submitting originals has closed, the list of the titles of the works presented will be published on the official bulletin of the University of Valencia (https://tauler.uv.es/) and on the website of the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit. (www.uv.es/cdciencia), for a period of 10 days for possible claims, which will be made at the electronic headquarters of the University of Valencia (http://webges.uv.es/uvEntreuWeb). After this period, and once resolved, the final lists will be published. Sixth. Other information The award will be awarded on the same day as the rest of the “Ciutat d’Alzira” awards, on the night of November 6, 2026, during a literary dinner in which the winners, in addition to the cash prize, will receive the trophy symbol of the Ciutat d’Alzira Literary Awards.
