OF THE CALL FOR THE PUBLIC COMPETITION FOR THE GRANT OF ANIMAL PROTECTION ASSOCIATIONS FOR EXPENSES DERIVED FROM THE MANAGEMENT OF ANIMALS FROM THE SHELTER CENTERS OF THE PROVINCIAL NETWORK, FOR THE YEAR 2026

Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call for public tender is published for the granting of animal protection associations for expenses derived from the management of animals from the shelters of the provincial network, for the year 2026, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index): First. Beneficiaries: Those animal protection associations, legally constituted and registered in the Galician Registry of Associations for the Protection and Defense of Pet Animals and that have signed the framework collaboration agreement between the Provincial Council of Ourense and the associations for the protection and defense of animals for participation in the management of the provincial network of abandoned animal collection centers, may apply for the subsidies regulated in this call. Second. Purpose: The purpose of these rules is the regulation of the processing and granting, by the Provincial Council of Ourense, of subsidies to cover the expenses derived from the management of animals from the shelters of the provincial network, through a public call and through the competitive competition procedure, in the year 2026. 2. For the purposes of this call, the following actions may be subject to subsidy: • Direct adoption or mediation in adoption by third parties of animals coming from any of the shelters of the Provincial Network. • Temporary shelter, until the moment of final adoption of animals that require special attention and/or care, whose convenience is deemed appropriate by the Provincial Network. • Reception of calved females and their litters, until the moment of adoption. • Reception of puppies collected without a mother. • Cat shelter. 3. All inventoryable material is excluded from this aid. Third. Regulatory bases: Agreement of the Government Board of June 1, 2026, which establishes the regulatory bases and announces the call for subsidies to cover the expenses derived from the management of animals from the shelters of the provincial network, through a public call and through the competitive bidding procedure, in the year 2026. Fourth. Amount: The financing of the subsidies regulated in this call will be carried out under application 16911/48006 of the budgets of the Provincial Council of Ourense for the year 2026. The maximum amount available for the granting of these subsidies is 25,000.00 euros. The amount of the subsidy will depend on the cost of the actions, with the maximum established to be granted being 12,500.00 euros per beneficiary. In no case may the amount of the subsidy be of such an amount that, alone or in conjunction with subsidies or aid from other Public Administrations or other public or private entities, it exceeds the total cost of the actions to be carried out by the beneficiary. Fifth. Application submission deadline: The non-extendable submission deadline will begin from the publication by the National Subsidies Database and the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), and will end on September 30, 2026, this being the last day on which applications may be validly submitted.
