Official description of the call

FIRST.- Beneficiaries: All writers over 18 years of age residing in Spain who wish to do so. The short stories written in the Spanish language must be original and unpublished, and have not previously been awarded in any other contest, nor do they correspond to authors who died prior to the submission of the work to this Contest. Each participant may compete with only one entry. Format of the works and form of presentation: The work destined to compete will have a length of 100 words plus the title. Sixth.- Form of submission of requests for participation and works. To participate it is necessary to send two emails. An email to the address: microrrelatosbibliotecapacheco.concurso@blogger.com with the microstory, writing the title and pseudonym (in parentheses) in the “subject” field and the text of the microstory in the “body of the message”. Another email to: contactomicrorrelatos@torrepacheco.es with the personal data, writing pseudonym in the “subject of the email” and the personal data in the “body of the message” and a declaration signed by the author will be attached, expressing the acceptance of the bases and conditions of this Contest, as well as the guarantee that the work is not pending the decision of any other contest and that the author has the free disposal of all exploitation rights over the work in any form and in its different forms. modalities. Personal data will contain: Title of the short story, pseudonym, name and surname of the author, NIF, NIE or passport, date of birth, address and telephone number. These data will not be used by third parties and will be destroyed by the library once the contest ends. All micro-stories will be published at: http://microrrelatosbibliotecapacheco.blogspot.com.es SECOND.- Purpose: To support and reward literary creation and the promotion of reading from the Torre Pacheco City Council, a cultural activity that par excellence brings public value and intimate freedom to the lives of the citizens of a democratic society. THIRD.- Regulatory bases: The Call and Specific Bases are regulated by RESOLUTION Nº 2026002146, OF 07/2/2026, of the Delegate Councilor for Finance, Culture and Tourism of the Torre-Pacheco City Council, of the Call for awards, on a competitive basis, of the XIII MICRO-STORY CONTEST OF THE MUNICIPAL PUBLIC LIBRARY 2026; and is governed by the Regulatory Bases of the Villa de Torre Pacheco Short Story Contest and the Short Story Contest of the Municipal Public Library, initially approved in a plenary session on December 29, 2022, made final by Resolution No. 2023001070 of the Mayor-President of Torre Pacheco, of April 10, 2023, and published in the B.O.R.M. no. 104, of May 8, 2023; in accordance with the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Torre-Pacheco City Council (BORM no. 239, of October 16, 2017). The call for prizes for the contest, under a competitive competition regime, is included in the current Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Torre Pacheco City Council 2026-2029 (PES 2026-2029), approved by Resolution 2026000622, of 02/26/2026, Annex I, Chapter III: Areas of competence Culture and Tourism.
